Abstract
PURPOSE:To prolong the time constant of peak values by feeding the output signal of a peak detector back to the inversion input end of a differential amplifier and making the feedback ratio thereof equal to the inverse number of the non-feedback gain from the non-inversion input end of the differential amplifier up to the input end of a comparator. CONSTITUTION:Light signal received in a photo detector 11 is fetched out as an electric signal which is then converted to voltage by a load resistance RL. This voltage is applied to the non-inversion input end of a differential amplifier 12. The output signal thereof is applied to the non-inversion input end of a comparator 13, where it is subjected to level comparison with a reference input Eref. The peak detector 14 constituted by a series circuit of a diode Dp and capacitor Cp detects the output peak value of the amplifier 12 and feeds it back to the inversion input end of the amplifier 12 via feedback circuit 15 consisting of resistances R1, R2. The feedback ratio of the feedback circuit 15 is set approximately equal to the inverse number of the non-feedback gain from the non-inversion input end of the amplifier 12 up to the non-inversion input end of the comparator 13. In this way, the light signal receiver of the prolonged holding time constant of peak values may be obtained.
