PURPOSE:To readily and highly accurately manufacture the optical fiber connector plug of good transmission characteristics by combining circular cylindrical rods and spherical bodies and making use of the respective advantages. CONSTITUTION:Cylindrical dies 7 and circular cylindrical rods 8 are vertically held and spherical bodies 9 are stacked in several stages. At this time, the inside diameter of the dies 7 is so selected that the inside surfaces make contact with the rods 8 and spherical bodies 9. An optical fiber 1 is inserted into the triangle type spacing formed by these. Thence, molten plastics is flowed into the die 7 to integrally fix the rods 8, spherical bodies 9 and optical fibers 1, after which the molding is released from the dies 7 and the plastic mold (e) is formed. Here, the diameter of the circumference including the line 10 where the side faces of the rods 8 expose to the outside of the plastic molding material 4 and the point where the side faces of the spherical bodies 9 expose to the outside of the molding material 4 is maintained constant and highly accurately and the nature that the central axis of said circumference and the central axis of the fiber align is stable without any change even if the plastics contract.
