Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify production and achieve higher accuracy of axial alignment by molding the surrounding of optical fibers with curable material and cutting these. CONSTITUTION:Optical fibers are passed to a molding mold 4 for making a desired connector shape and a resin is filled therein through a resin injection port 5 and is set. Thereafter, the molding mold 4 is removed and the optical fibers are cut as shown by a broken line to form connectors for bundle connection. As the axial alignment mechanism of the optical fibers of the case of using these connectors, connector containers 8 provided with, e.g., springs 11, screws 12, etc. as the mechanism of connecting and maintaining outside circumference 9 and guide pins 10 are provided.
