Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce friction between the end of a vane and the inner wall of a cylinder by a method wherein a mechanism is provided which is caused to connect or shut a compression chamber and the bottom space of a vane slot by the rotation of a rotor, and the pressure at the vane bottom is controlled. CONSTITUTION:High-pressure gas ejected into high-pressure gas chamber 14 via ejection valve 17 with the rotation of rotor 6 is sent to condenser. During this time vane slot bottom space 11 is linked to compression chamber 12 when vane 9 lies between position A and position B. As a result, the pressure in vane slot bottom space 11 changes with the compression of the intake gas and vane 9 receives stress on its back part corresponding to the pressure difference of the compression chamber at the front and back of vane 9. Again, when vane 9 lies between position B and position A, vane slot bottom space 11 is closed, the pressure increases, and vane 9 turns and slides in contact with cylinder 1. Consequently, friction between vane 9 and cylinder 1 decreases.
