Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a generation of separation from the termination part, by positioning a fold back termination part of the carcass ply in almost center portion of the gage width of a miximum gage part of the bead portion, and successively enclosing said termination part with a hard rubber and soft rubber of wedge-shape. CONSTITUTION:A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass ply 17 consisting of metallic cord with its end folded back at around a bead core 18, and the outside of its fold back part is enclosed by a bead part reinforcement layer 22 consisting of metallic cord. In the pneumatic tire of such construction, a fold back termination part 20a of the carcass ply 17 is positioned in almost center portion of the gauge width in a maximum gauge part 24 of a bead part 12. And the construction is so made that this termination part may be enclosed by a hard rubber 25 with the periphery of the hard rubber 25 fully surrounded by soft rubbers 26, 27. At this time, a cross section pattern of the hard rubber 25 is made into a flame-shape in such manner with the thickness coming to be thinner toward radially outide of the tire.
