リンダヘッドガスケットにビード部を設ける代わりに、
又はビード部と共に、シリンダヘッド若しくはシリンダ
ブロックにシリンダボアの周囲を無端状に囲繞する突起
を設けたものも知られている(特開昭56−47643
号公報、特開平5−96633号公報)。

る。図1、図2において、シリンダヘッドガスケット1
は、それぞれシリンダボア2(図1参照)に合わせて穿
設した4つの燃焼室孔3Aを有する2枚のガスケット基
板3を備えており、各ガスケット基板3のそれぞれに、
各燃焼室孔3Aを囲むフルビード部3aとハーフビード
部3bとを形成している。上記フルビード部3aとハー
フビード部3bとは、各燃焼室孔3Aの中心側から外側
に向けてその順に形成してあり、かつ各ガスケット基板
3の重合側とは反対側に向けて突出するように形成して
ある。上記各ガスケット基板3としては、0.20mm
厚のSUS301−Hを使用することができ、図3に示
すように、その両面をNBR等の被覆層3cで被覆する
ことが好ましい。

ている。この突出部6aの高さhとしては、0.08m
m程度が望ましい。また上記突出部6aは、図示実施例
ではシリンダボア2の間隔が、したがって各燃焼室孔3
Aの間の間隔が狭くなっているため、4箇所の突出部6
aを隣接する燃焼室孔3Aの間で相互に連続させて一体
に形成している。上記燃焼室孔3Aの間の間隔が広い場
合には、4箇所の突出部6aを別個に形成してもよいこ
とは勿論である。そして上記各ガスケット基板3のフル
ビード部3aとハーフビード部3bとは、上記シリンダ
ヘッド5とシリンダブロック6の突出部6aとの間で、
シリンダボア2の円周方向に沿って連続して挟持してあ
り、円周方向の連続性がとぎれたり、或いは外側となる
ハーフビード部3bの一部が突出部6aから外側にはみ
出して、その部分の挟持が行なえなくなることがないよ
うに配慮している。さらに、上記シリンダヘッド5とシ
リンダブロック6とは、図示実施例ではアルミダイカス
ト製のオープンデッキブロックとして形成してあり、シ
リンダヘッド5とシリンダブロック6とに形成した冷却
水通路5a、6bは、最も外側となるハーフビード部3
bの外側において、4つの燃焼室孔3Aを一体的に囲む
ことができるように、各シリンダヘッド5とシリンダブ
ロック6との接合面にそれぞれ形成してある。
