Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a character image from becoming a fault on a diagnostic image observation by constituting the circuit so that the luminance of the character image can be set arbitrarily by a setting means. CONSTITUTION:Luminance data (can be selected in '0'-255) can be selected by an operator's keyboard operation, and by a system read-in key (for instance, a return key is used) operation by the operator after the luminance data is selected, a selected luminance value is read in a system. In the system, the read-in value is written in a luminance data writing RAM 1 of a character (a luminance change processing of the character), therefore, a display device 3 can display a character image by the luminance based on this set data. In this case, when the same data as the data of the RAM 1 is written in advance in a rewritable ROM (EEPROM) 2, a value stored in the rewritable ROM 2 can be used as luminance data at the initial time, as well.

That is, in the conventional apparatus, when the level of the received signal for forming the diagnostic image is low and the brightness of the diagnostic image is low, it is necessary to increase the brightness of the display screen for observation. At this time, character images such as letters and cursors, which are originally prepared as auxiliary functions for diagnosis, may become even more bright, which may cause problems in diagnosis or photographic recording. be.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to prevent character images from becoming a hindrance to diagnostic image observation.

A display unit that displays an image of a diagnostic result and a character image including characters and symbols on the same screen is provided with a setting means for setting the brightness of the character image to a predetermined gradation, and the brightness of the character image is set to a predetermined gradation. Make it possible to change the brightness of the image.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the invention. In the figure, ■ is a RAM for character brightness data, 2 is a rewritable ROM (EEPROM), and 3 is a display device (CRT).
Then, by writing the brightness data to the above RAMI,
Set the brightness of the character image. Here, it is assumed that the brightness data (selectable between 0 and 2550) can be selected by the operator's keyboard operation, and after selecting the brightness data, the operator operates the system read key (for example, the return key is used) to select the selected brightness. Values are read into the system. The system writes the read value to the character's luminance data writing RAMI (
Character Brightness Changing Process) The display device 3 can display the character image at a brightness based on this setting data. At this time, if the same data as the RAMI data is also written in the rewritable ROM (EEFROM) 2, the values stored in the rewritable ROM 2 can be used as the luminance data even at the initial time.

According to this invention, since the brightness of the character image can be set arbitrarily, the brightness of the character image can be lowered when the level of the received signal for forming the diagnostic image is low (when the diagnostic image is dark). This makes it possible to make the diagnostic image, which is the original purpose of diagnosis, easier to see.
