Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the fungicidal ability of an air permeation-resistant fabric durable by attaching particulates of zeolite having a fungicidal effect by a technique of thermal fusion to a fiber forming the air permeation-resistant fabric. CONSTITUTION:A subordinate duct 16 is entirely formed of an air permeation- resistant fabric, which is a fibrous structure filled with particulates. This fibrous structure filled with particulates consists of an aggregate of mixed fiber which holds fungicidal metallic ions and is composed of zeolite-based particulates and a staple of either a natural fiber or a synthetic resin and staples including a thermoplastc synthetic fiber with a low melting point. In this aggregate of mixed fiber the thermoplastic synthetic fiber with a low melting point adheres by fusion to part of the other staples where the staples meet in a tangle so that the zeolite-based particulates are held in the form of filler in the aggregate of mixed fiber while exposed to contact with fluid outside. This constitution enables the air perjneation-resistant fabric to be washed without allowing the zeolite particulates to come off.
