Description of the Related Art Improving the growth of chicks and piglets in the poultry and pig farming industry is directly related to the management of the chicks and piglets, which may lead to death due to the occurrence of diseases and developmental defects, or to a decline in commercial value. Is extremely important. As a means for improving the growth of such chicks and piglets, a method of adding antibacterial substances (antibiotics and synthetic antibacterial agents) to the feed is widely adopted.

However, the addition of this antibacterial substance to feed has problems such as public health problems due to the emergence of resistant bacteria and problems of residual antibacterial substances in meat. Therefore, when an antibacterial substance is used, conditions such as being an antibacterial agent exclusively for animals distinguished from a drug for human body, being non-absorbable and not remaining in meat are required.

In addition, the feed additive composition of the present invention may be mixed with other nutritional components such as amino acids, vitamins and minerals. When formulated in this way, the total content of essential components is 0.1% by weight (hereinafter, simply “%”).
The above is preferable. In formulating, essential components, excipients, adsorbents, nutritional components, etc. may be mixed according to a conventional method. The excipient is not particularly limited, powdered silicic acid, silicic acid anhydride, light silicic acid anhydride,
Hydrous silicon dioxide, diatomaceous earth, zeolite, activated clay, colloidal silica, saccharides and the like are preferable. The adsorbing substance is not particularly limited, but powdered silicic acid, diatomaceous earth, zeolite, colloidal silica and the like are preferable.
The amount of the above composition added to the compounded feed is 0.025 to 0.25% in total as an essential component, preferably 0.0
The range of 5 to 0.2% is preferable. This amount is 0.025%
If it is less than the above range, the growth is not improved, and even if it exceeds 0.25%, no further effect can be expected, which is not preferable.

A mixture obtained by directly adding and mixing the acid shown in Table 1 to 0) was used. The compounded feed was fed ad libitum and the water was freely drinkable. Table 1 shows the test results for each category. The "rate" of the average weight gain and the average feed intake in the table is shown as a relative value when Category 1 is 100. The average feed conversion rate is a value obtained by dividing the average feed intake by the average weight gain.

Moreover, in the combined use group of L-glutamic acid and citric acid, the results were better when the ratio of L-glutamic acid and citric acid was equal to or close to that. In the observation of feces during the test period, some soft stools were observed in the non-addition group and the single-use group, but there was no abnormality in the combined group. The growth rate was 100% in each ward.

In the group in which glutamic acid and citric acid were used in combination, the growth was 112, 115, and 109%, which was a large improvement compared to the group without addition. Regarding feed intake and feed conversion rate, similarly, good results were seen in the group in which both test substances were added at the same time. In addition, in the observation of feces, soft stool was occasionally seen only in the non-additional and single substance groups, but there was no watery diarrhea stool, and in the other groups, there was no abnormality.
