Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the insertion property of a capacitor element into a metal case good and to uniformly crush the capacitor element in the upper and lower directions by a method wherein the width of a tape for winding stop use is set to be the same as or larger than the width of a separator and the tape for winding stop use is wound on the whole outer circumferential face of the capacitor element. CONSTITUTION:A tape 16 for winding stop use is wound on the outer circumference, of a capacitor element 12 in which an anode foil and a cathode foil have been wound to be a cylindrical shape together with a separator. It fixes the capacitor element 12. The tape 16 for einding stop use is constituted of Mylar or polypropylene; its width is set to be the same as or larger than the width of the separator. The tape 16 for winding stop use is wound on the whole outer circumferential face of the capacitor element 12. Since the tape 16 for winding stop use is wound on the whole outer circumferential face of the capacitor element 12 in this manner, it is possible to remarkably enhance the insertion property of the capacitor element 12 into a metal case 11. Even when the capacitor element 12 wound to be the cylindrical shape is crushed and the capacitor element 12 in a flat shape is formed, its shape is not distorted.

2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional flat aluminum electrolytic capacitor of this type, as shown in FIG. 3, a capacitor element 1 is constructed by winding an anode foil and a cathode foil together with a separator. The anode lead terminal 2 and the cathode lead terminal 3 are taken out, and this capacitor element 1 is fixed by wrapping a tape 4 around its outer circumference. Furthermore, this capacitor element 1 is impregnated with a driving electrolyte, and the capacitor element 1 is 1 is pressed vertically to form a flat shape, and this flat capacitor element 1 is inserted into a flat bottomed cylindrical metal case (not shown). .

ff1a to be Solved by the Invention However, in the above conventional configuration, the tape 4 for fixing the winding of the capacitor element 1 around which the positive seeds and the cathode foil are wound together with the separator only covers a part of the width of the capacitor element 1. Because it is not wound, the separators at the top and bottom of the capacitor element 1 easily unravel and turn in the opposite direction. As a result, the capacitor element 1 impregnated with the driving electrolyte is placed in a metal case (not shown) When the capacitor element is inserted and stored in a metal case, the turned-over separator gets caught in the entrance of the metal case, so there is a problem in that the capacitor element cannot be inserted properly.

Further, the capacitor element 1 impregnated with the driving electrolyte
When forming a capacitor element 1 into a flat shape by crushing it vertically, the tape 4 for winding is wrapped around only a part of the width of the capacitor element 1, so the crushing force is applied unevenly and the shape is distorted. The problem was that the image was distorted.

In one embodiment of the present invention, as described above, the tape 16 for preventing winding is wrapped around the entire outer circumferential surface of the capacitor element 12, so that the separators in the upper and lower portions of the capacitor element 12 are fixed at the ends. (As a result, even when the capacitor element I2 is inserted and stored inside a metal case, the Mylar and polypropylene materials that make up the tape 16 for winding stop have a The sum of the surface slipperiness and capacitor element 1
2 into the metal case 11 can be significantly improved. Furthermore, even when the capacitor element 12 wound in a cylindrical shape is crushed vertically to form a flat capacitor element 12, the tape 16 for preventing winding is wound around the entire outer circumferential surface of the capacitor element 12. The force that tends to compress the capacitor element 12 in the vertical direction is uniformly applied to the entire capacitor element 12, and as a result, the shape is not distorted.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the description of the above embodiments, according to the present invention,
The width of the winding tape is the same as or greater than the width of the separator, and the winding tape is wrapped around the entire outer circumferential surface of the capacitor element, so the separator does not turn over at the edges. As a result, the insertability of the capacitor element into the metal case can be significantly improved. In addition, since the entire outer circumferential surface of the capacitor element is wrapped with tape, when a cylindrical capacitor element is crushed vertically to form a flat capacitor element, the crushing force is applied to the capacitor element. The material is applied uniformly to the entire surface, and as a result, it can be crushed uniformly without distorting the shape.
