<システム構成>
図1は、本実施の形態に係る車両診断システムの全体構成図である。図1を参照して、車両診断システム9は、車両1と、サーバ2と、携帯端末3とを備える。車両1とサーバ2とは双方向通信が可能である。また、サーバ2と携帯端末3とも双方向通信が可能である。さらに、車両1と携帯端末3とも双方向通信が可能である。
本発明者は、バッテリ13の容量維持率Qの測定精度が以下の2つの要因によって影響を受け得る点に着目した。第1の要因は、バッテリ13への充電電力量である。
図6は、本実施の形態における容量劣化曲線Lの更新処理および容量維持率Qの表示処理を説明するための図である。図6を参照して、ここではバッテリ13の製造時から33カ月が経過した時点を例に、バッテリ13の容量維持率Qの測定結果をどのように使用するかを説明する。黒い三角で示すのがバッテリ13の容量維持率Qの測定値である。この測定値は、過去からの容量維持率Qの低下傾向(時間的な推移)からすると、やや低め目であることが読み取れる。この測定値をインパネ171に表示した場合、バッテリ13の容量維持率Qが急低下したとユーザが違和感を覚える可能性がある。あるいは、ユーザがバッテリ13の劣化が実際よりも進んでいると考え、バッテリ13の性能を過少評価する可能性もある。

図7は、容量劣化曲線の更新処理を示すフローチャートである。図7および後述する図8に示すフローチャートは、たとえば予め定められた演算周期毎に繰り返し実行される。各ステップは、ECU10によるソフトウェア処理により実現されるが、ECU10内に作製されたハードウェア(電気回路)により実現されてもよい。以下、ステップをSと略す。

- 車両に搭載された蓄電装置を診断する、車両診断システムであって、
表示装置と、
前記蓄電装置の満充電容量の低下度合いを表す劣化指標を算出するとともに、前記表示装置を制御する演算装置とを備え、
前記演算装置は、
所定条件が成立する度に前記蓄電装置の満充電容量を測定し、測定された前記蓄電装置の満充電容量から求められる第1劣化指標の時間変化を表す容量劣化曲線を更新し、
前記表示装置への前記劣化指標の表示要求が発生した場合に、更新された前記容量劣化曲線を参照することで算出される第2劣化指標が前記第1劣化指標と異なったとしても、前記第2劣化指標を表示するように前記表示装置を制御する、車両診断システム。 - 前記容量劣化曲線は、予め定められた関係式によって表され、
前記関係式は、前記第1劣化指標および基準時からの経過時間を変数として含むとともに、前記第1劣化指標と前記経過時間との間の関係を規定する複数の係数とを含み、
