Description
最初に、図1~図9を参照して、本発明の第一実施形態について説明する。
図1は、本発明の第一実施形態に係る他車両表示システムが搭載された車両の一例を示す図である。図1に示された車両10は、その加速、操舵及び制動の一部又は全部が自動的に実行される自律走行を行うことができる。すなわち、車両10はいわゆる自動運転車両である。
図2は、他車両表示システム1の構成を概略的に示す図である。他車両表示システム1は車両10に搭載される。
以下、図8のフローチャートを参照して、他車両を車両アイコンとして表示装置3に表示するための制御について詳細に説明する。図8は、本発明の第一実施形態における車両表示処理の制御ルーチンを示すフローチャートである。本制御ルーチンはECU4によって所定の実行間隔で繰り返し実行される。所定の実行間隔は、例えば、物体検出装置2の出力がECU4に送信される間隔である。
第二実施形態に係る他車両表示システムは、以下に説明する点を除いて、基本的に第一実施形態に係る他車両表示システムの構成及び制御と同様である。このため、以下、本発明の第二実施形態について、第一実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明する。
図11は、本発明の第二実施形態における車両表示処理の制御ルーチンを示すフローチャートである。本制御ルーチンはECU4によって所定の実行間隔で繰り返し実行される。所定の実行間隔は、例えば、物体検出装置2の出力がECU4に送信される間隔である。
第三実施形態に係る他車両表示システムは、以下に説明する点を除いて、基本的に第一実施形態に係る他車両表示システムの構成及び制御と同様である。このため、以下、本発明の第三実施形態について、第一実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明する。
図12は、本発明の第三実施形態における車両表示処理の制御ルーチンを示すフローチャートである。本制御ルーチンはECU4によって所定の実行間隔で繰り返し実行される。所定の実行間隔は、例えば、物体検出装置2の出力がECU4に送信される間隔である。
第四実施形態に係る他車両表示システムは、以下に説明する点を除いて、基本的に第一実施形態に係る他車両表示システムの構成及び制御と同様である。このため、以下、本発明の第四実施形態について、第一実施形態と異なる部分を中心に説明する。

Claims (2)
- 車両の周囲の物体を検出する物体検出装置と、
前記物体検出装置の出力に基づいて物標を生成すると共に該物標を識別する識別部と、
前記識別部によって前記物標が他車両として識別されたときに該他車両を車両アイコンとして表示する表示装置と、
前記表示装置上での前記車両に対する前記車両アイコンの位置を決定する位置決定部と
を備え、
前記位置決定部は、前記車両アイコンの予め定められた大きさに基づいて、該車両アイコンの中心位置を前記他車両として識別された物標の中心位置からオフセットさせ、
前記位置決定部は、前記他車両が前記車両の前方、後方又は側方を走行している場合には、前記車両アイコンの近傍面が前記他車両として識別された物標の近傍面と一致するように前記車両アイコンの中心位置をオフセットさせ、前記他車両が前記車両の斜め前方又は斜め後方を走行している場合には、前記車両アイコンの中心位置をオフセットさせるときの車幅方向のオフセット量と前後方向のオフセット量とを加重平均によって算出する、他車両表示システム。 - 前記位置決定部は、前記他車両がカーブを走行している場合には、該カーブの向きに沿って前記車両アイコンの中心位置をオフセットさせる、請求項1に記載の他車両表示システム。
