Description
(1.モノリシック型の積層体の形成)
市販の酸化チタンペースト(Solaronix社製、商品名:Ti-Nanoxide D/SP、平均粒径:13nm)を、透明導電層14a、14bであるフッ素ドープのSnO2膜が形成された基板(日本板硝子社製)上にドクターブレード法により塗布した。
FSD19色素をエタノールに溶解させて、濃度が4×10-4Mの色素吸着用溶液を予め調製した。その色素吸着用溶液に積層体を室温で80時間浸漬した。その後、積層体をエタノールで洗浄してから約60℃で約5分間乾燥させた。これにより、色素が担持された多孔質半導体層16Aを有する基板12を得た。
3-メトキシプロピオニトリル(3MPL、Aldrich社製)に、濃度0.05Mのヨウ素(Aldrich社製)と、濃度0.8Mのジメチルプロピルイミダゾールアイオダイド(DMPII、四国化成製)と、濃度0.5Mの3-メチルピラゾール(Aldrich社製)とを溶解させることによって、酸化還元対を含む電解液42を調製した。
酸化還元対を含む電解液42をセルの間隙から注入し、電解液42を積層体に浸透させたセルの側面を樹脂(TB03035B、スリーボンド社製)で封止した。最後に、各電極にIV測定用のリード線を取付けた。
比較例による色素増感太陽電池は、図2に示されるサンドイッチ型のセル構造を有する。以下で説明する製造方法に従って、比較例による色素増感太陽電池を作製した。
先ず、市販の酸化チタンペースト(Solaronix社製、商品名:Ti-Nanoxide D/SP、平均粒径:13nm)を、透明導電層14であるフッ素ドープのSnO2膜が形成された基板(日本板硝子社製)上にドクターブレード法により塗布した。
3-メトキシプロピオニトリル(3MPL、Aldrich社製)に、濃度0.05Mのヨウ素(Aldrich社製)と、濃度0.8Mのジメチルプロピルイミダゾールアイオダイド(DMPII、四国化成製)と、濃度0.5Mの3-メチルピラゾール(Aldrich社製)とを溶解させることによって、酸化還元対を含む電解液42を調製した。
蒸着装置(機種名:ei-5、アルバック社製)を用いて、透明導電層24であるフッ素ドープのSnO2膜が形成された基板(日本板硝子社製)22上に白金を0.1Å/sで成膜した。対極導電層28の膜厚は0.1μmである。
対極導電層28と多孔質半導体層16とを短絡防止のためにスペーサを介して貼り合わせ、酸化還元対を含む電解液42を、対極導電層28と多孔質半導体層16の間の空隙に注入し、電解液42を充填したセルの側面を樹脂(TB03035B、スリーボンド社製)で封止した。最後に、各電極にIV測定用のリード線を取付けた。

Claims (16)
- 第1金属酸化物粒子を含み、色素を担持した多孔質半導体層を有する第1電極と、
前記第1電極の対極となる第2電極と、
前記第1電極と前記第2電極との間に設けられた多孔質絶縁層であって、酸化還元対およびピラゾール系化合物を含む電解液を保持し、第2金属酸化物粒子を含む多孔質絶縁層と、
を備え、
前記第2金属酸化物粒子の平均粒径は、前記第1金属酸化物粒子の平均粒径よりも大きく、かつ、前記多孔質絶縁層の空隙率は前記多孔質半導体層の空隙率よりも大きい、色素増感太陽電池。 - 前記電解液中における前記ピラゾール系化合物のモル濃度は、0.3M以上1.2M以下である、請求項1または2に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記電解液は、比誘電率が20以上80以下の溶剤を含む、請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記溶剤は、エチレンカーボネート、プロピレンカーボネート、γ-ブチルラクトン、γ-バレロラクトンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含む、請求項4に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2電極は、炭素微粒子を含む対極導電層を有する、請求項1から5のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2金属酸化物粒子は、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化チタン、酸化ニオブ、酸化アルミニウム、および酸化マグネシウムからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種を含む、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2金属酸化物粒子は、価数が異なる2種以上の金属酸化物粒子を含む、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2金属酸化物粒子は、第1価数の金属酸化物粒子および前記第1価数よりも小さい第2価数の金属酸化物粒子を含む、請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第1価数の金属酸化物粒子の平均粒径は、前記第2価数の金属酸化物粒子の平均粒径よりも大きい、請求項9に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第1価数の金属酸化物粒子は酸化ジルコニウムであり、前記第2価数の金属酸化物粒子は2価または3価の金属酸化物粒子である、請求項9または10に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2価数の金属酸化物粒子は酸化アルミニウムまたは酸化マグネシウムである、請求項11に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第2金属酸化物粒子の全体に含まれる前記第1価数の金属酸化物粒子と前記第2価数の金属酸化物粒子との質量比は、80:20以上99:1以下である、請求項9に記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記第1電極を支持する透明基板をさらに備え、
第1透明導電層が前記透明基板に形成され、かつ、第2透明導電層が前記第1透明導電層から電気的に分離されて前記透明基板に形成されており、
前記第1電極が有する前記多孔質半導体層は前記第1透明導電層上に形成され、前記第2電極は前記第2透明導電層に電気的に接続されている、請求項1から13のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。 - 前記多孔質絶縁層の厚さは、前記多孔質半導体層の厚さよりも薄い、請求項1から14のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
- 前記多孔質絶縁層の厚さは、0.2μm以上20μm以下である、請求項1から14のいずれかに記載の色素増感太陽電池。
