Description
Claims (14)
- 複合的な構成要素を製造するためのツールであって、
繊維強化プラスチックで構成され、複合的な構成要素のレイアップ表面を規定し、前記レイアップ表面から表皮の対向表面まで延びる複数の通路を備える前記表皮と、
前記表皮との間にキャビティを規定し、前記表皮に固定されたバッキングと、
キャビティ内に配置され、前記通路と流体連通する気体透過性材料を備える支持コアと、
前記気体透過性材料と流体連通するように前記バッキングを介して延在する導管と、を有し、
前記支持コアが、前記気体透過性材料と前記バッキングとの間に配置されたバリア層を備える、ツール。 - 前記支持コアが、気体透過性膜と前記バッキングとの間の前記気体透過性膜と流体連通するポートを含み、前記ポートが前記導管と流体連通する、請求項1に記載のツール。
- 前記バッキングは、前記表皮と一体的に形成されている、請求項1または2に記載のツール。
- 前記バッキングの少なくとも一部が、前記表皮に直接結合されている、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載のツール。
- 前記表皮と前記バッキングとの間に複数の前記キャビティがあり、複数の支持コアの各々が、それぞれの前記キャビティに配置され、
場合により、複数の前記バッキングがあり、前記バッキングの各々が、前記キャビティのそれぞれに関連付けられる、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載のツール。 - それぞれの前記キャビティまたは前記キャビティのサブセットを低圧装置または真空装置に選択的に流体結合するように構成されたコントローラを備える、請求項5に記載のツール。
- 支持構造体と、
前記支持構造体に取り付けられた請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の1つ以上のツールと、を備えるツールアセンブリ。 - 形態がマンドレルであり、
場合により、複数の前記ツールが、前記マンドレルの周囲に実質的に連続したレイアップ表面を形成する、請求項7に記載のツールアセンブリ。 - 複合的な構成要素をレイアップするためのツールを製造する方法であって、
マスターに繊維強化材料を適用して前記ツールの表皮を形成し、
前記表皮の上に気体透過性材料の層を含む支持コアを適用し、
前記支持コア上に前記繊維強化材料を適用して前記ツールのバッキングを形成し、
前記表皮と前記バッキングとの間にキャビティを形成し、前記キャビティ内に前記支持コアが配置され、
少なくとも前記バッキングの前記繊維強化材料を圧縮下で硬化させ、前記キャビティが前記支持コアに適用することを含む、方法。 - 請求項1~6のいずれかに記載のツールを提供するための請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記支持コアの適用が、前記気体透過性材料を通して気体を引き込むために前記気体透過性材料上にポートを適用することを含み、
前記ポートは、前記バッキングを通して延びる導管と流体連通するように構成され、
前記ポートが前記導管内に一体的に形成される、請求項9または10に記載の方法。 - 前記キャビティと前記表皮の反対側の表面との間の流体連通を提供するために、前記表皮を通る複数の通路を形成することをさらに含む、請求項10または11に記載の方法。
- 前記バッキングの前記繊維強化材料を硬化する前に、および/または前記表皮上に前記支持コアを適用する前に、前記表皮を形成する前記繊維強化材料を硬化することをさらに含む、請求項10~12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記表皮を形成する前記繊維強化材料を硬化させた後、前記バッキングの前記繊維強化材料を硬化させる前、および/または前記表皮上に前記支持コアを適用する前に、前記表皮を通る通路を形成する、請求項10および13に記載の方法。
