Description
第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在するチャネルを形成する多孔質壁の基材、
前記壁の第1の部分の細孔内に配置されたイン・ウォールゼオライト触媒、及び
前記壁の前記第1の部分の壁面上に配置された三元触媒(TWC)
を備えている、多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記第1の端面から前記第2の端面まで少なくとも部分的に延在することを特徴とする、実施形態1に記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記壁の第2の部分によって前記第1の端面から離間されており、前記第1の端面が前記多孔質セラミックハニカム体の入口側にあることを特徴とする、実施形態1又は2に記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第2の部分が、前記壁の細孔内にゼオライト触媒を実質的に含まないことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜3のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第2の部分が、前記壁の前記第1の部分より小さい質量を有することを特徴とする、実施形態1〜4のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
TWCが、前記壁の前記第2の部分の少なくとも一部分の上に配置されていることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜5のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記壁の第3の部分によって前記第2の端面から離間されていることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜6のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記第2の部分の前記第1の端面から前記第1の部分までと、前記第3の部分の前記第2の端面から前記第1の部分までとが、実質的に同じ長さ又は異なる長さであることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜7のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記壁の前記第3の部分が、前記壁の細孔内にゼオライトを実質的に含まないことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜8のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
TWCが、前記壁の前記第3の部分の少なくとも一部分の上に配置されていることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜9のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記TWCが、炭化水素酸化触媒、CO酸化触媒、及びNOx還元触媒のうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜10のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記ゼオライトが、ZSM−5、ベータゼオライト、モルデナイト、Y−ゼオライト、超安定化Y−ゼオライト、リン酸アルミニウムゼオライト、グメリナイト、マッツァイト、オフレタイト、ZSM−12、ZSM−18、ベリロリン酸塩−H、ボグザイト、SAPO−40、SAPO−41、それらの組合せ、及びそれらの混合物のうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜11のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記基材が、押出成形されたゼオライトを含むことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜12のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記基材の多孔率が約50%を超えることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜13のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記メジアン細孔径が約7〜10μmであることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜14のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
むき出しの前記基材の密度が、600/3の幾何学形状において、約0.12〜0.18gm/cm3であることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜15のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記ゼオライトが、ある特定の温度以下における冷間始動時に、排ガス流から炭化水素を吸着し、前記ある特定の温度を上回ると炭化水素を脱着するように構成されており、かつ
前記TWCが、前記ある特定の温度を上回る上限を有する温度範囲において、前記脱着した炭化水素の少なくとも一部分を分解するように構成されている
ことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜16のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記ある特定の温度が、約150℃〜約250℃の範囲の触媒ライトオフ温度であることを特徴とする、実施形態1〜17のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記基材がコージエライトを含み、かつ
前記基材の多孔率が約50%未満であり、前記基材のメジアン細孔径が約7〜10μmであり、前記基材の密度が、400/4の幾何学形状において、約0.19〜0.35gm/cm3である
ことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜13のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
前記ゼオライトが、ある特定の温度以下において、ゆっくりとしたサイクルの間に炭化水素を吸着し、前記ある特定の温度を超えると炭化水素を脱着するように構成されており、
前記TWCが、前記ある特定の温度を上回る上限を含む温度範囲において、前記脱着した炭化水素の少なくとも一部を分解するように構成されている
ことを特徴とする、実施形態1〜13及び19のいずれかに記載の多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在するチャネルを形成する多孔質壁の基材;及び
前記壁の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に配置された三元触媒(TWC)
を備えており、
前記基材が押出成形されたゼオライト触媒を含んでいる、
多孔質セラミックハニカム体。
ゼオライト触媒の多孔質セラミック体を押出成形する工程、及び
前記多孔質セラミック体の壁の壁面上に三元触媒(TWC)を配置する工程
を含む、セラミック物品の製造方法。
多孔質セラミック体の壁の第1の部分の壁の細孔内にゼオライト触媒を配置する工程、及び
前記多孔質セラミック体の前記壁の前記第1の部分の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に三元触媒(TWC)を配置する工程
を含む、セラミック物品の製造方法。
前記TWCが、炭化水素酸化触媒、CO酸化触媒、及びNOx還元触媒のうちの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、実施形態23に記載の方法。
前記多孔質セラミック体の前記壁が、前記多孔質セラミック体の第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在する軸方向チャネルを画成し、かつ
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記第1の端面から前記第2の端面まで少なくとも部分的に延在する
ことを特徴とする、実施形態23又は24に記載の方法。
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記壁の第2の部分によって前記第1の端面から離間されており、
前記壁の前記第2の部分が、前記壁の細孔内にゼオライト触媒を実質的に含まない
ことを特徴とする、実施形態23〜25のいずれかに記載の方法。
前記壁の前記第2の部分が、前記壁の前記第1の部分よりも低い密度を有することを特徴とする、実施形態26に記載の方法。
前記壁の前記第1の部分が、前記壁の第3の部分によって前記第2の端面から離間されており、
前記壁の前記第3の部分が、前記壁の細孔内にゼオライト触媒を実質的に含まない
ことを特徴とする、実施形態23〜27のいずれかに記載の方法。
第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在するチャネルを形成する多孔質壁の基材、
前記壁の第1の部分の細孔内に配置されたイン・ウォールゼオライト触媒、及び
前記壁の前記第1の部分の壁の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に配置された三元触媒(TWC)
を備えている多孔質セラミックハニカム体と、
精製される排ガス流を受け入れるように構成された入口、
精製された排ガス流を放出するように構成された出口、及び
前記精製される排ガス流を前記基材の前記第1の端面内へと導くように構成された、前記入口と前記出口との間のチャンバであって、前記基材が前記チャンバ内に配置されている、チャンバ
を備えている筐体と
を含む、排気システム。
排ガス流を生成し、かつ、前記筐体の前記入口に出力するように構成されたエンジンをさらに含むことを特徴とする、実施形態29に記載のシステム。
前記筐体の前記チャンバに取り付けられた前記基材が、前記エンジンに密結合していることを特徴とする、実施形態29又は30に記載のシステム。
前記排ガス流を精製するように構成された、フィルタ及び選択的触媒還元(SCR)触媒のうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含むことを特徴とする、実施形態29〜31のいずれかに記載のシステム。

- 第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在するチャネルを形成する多孔質壁の基材、及び
前記壁の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に配置された三元触媒
を備えており、
前記基材が押出成形されたゼオライト触媒を含んでおり、
前記ゼオライト触媒が前記壁の第1の部分に含まれており、
前記壁の第1の部分が、前記第1の端面から前記壁の第2の部分だけ離間しており、該壁の第2の部分の細孔内には前記ゼオライト触媒が配置されていない、
多孔質セラミックハニカム体。 - ゼオライト触媒の多孔質セラミック体を押出成形する工程、及び
前記多孔質セラミック体の前記壁の第1の部分の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に三元触媒を配置する工程
を含み、
前記ゼオライト触媒が前記壁の前記第1の部分に含まれており、前記壁の第1の部分が、前記第1の端面から前記壁の第2の部分だけ離間しており、該壁の第2の部分の細孔内には前記ゼオライト触媒が配置されていない、
多孔質セラミック物品の製造方法。 - 押出成形されたゼオライト触媒からなり、第1の端面から第2の端面まで延在するチャネルを形成する多孔質壁の基材、及び
前記壁の前記第1の部分の壁の少なくとも一部分の壁面上に配置された三元触媒
を備えた、多孔質セラミックハニカム体と、
精製される排ガス流を受け入れるように構成された入口、
精製された排ガス流を放出するように構成された出口、及び
前記精製される排ガス流を前記基材の前記第1の端面内へと導くように構成された、前記入口と前記出口との間のチャンバであって、前記基材が前記チャンバ内に配置されている、チャンバを備えた筐体とを含み、
前記ゼオライト触媒が前記壁の前記第1の部分に含まれており、前記壁の第1の部分が、前記第1の端面から前記壁の第2の部分だけ離間しており、該壁の第2の部分の細孔内には前記ゼオライト触媒が配置されていない、
