x3 2/a3 2+y3 2/b3 2+z3 2/c3 2=1で表される。ここでは、a1>b1>c1,c2>b2>a2,b3>c3>a3となる。
さらに、a1:b1:c1,c2:b2:a2,b3:c3:a3の任意の2つまたは3つは同じである。
(1)光入射凸点を設置することで、レンズ体の中心を通った光線が屈折によって拡散し、レンズ体の中心での輝度の過大を回避する。(2)楕円体形状構造によれば、レンズ体に入出射した光線を屈折させることで、光線の出射角度が大きくなり、その結果、液晶パネルに対するLEDバックライトの照射面積を増大させ、LEDランプの使用個数や液晶テレビの消費電力を減らす。(3)スパークによる粒状表面を用いて迷光を処理することで、レンズ体から均一な光スポットを投光することができる。

x3 2/a3 2+y3 2/b3 2+z3 2/c3 2=1で表される。ここでは、a1>b1>c1,c2>b2>a2,b3>c3>a3,a1>a2>a3,b1>b2>b3,c1>c2>c3となる。さらに、a1:b1:c1,c2:b2:a2,b3:c3:a3の任意の2つまたは3つは同じである。本実施例では、好適には、a1:b1:c1=c2:b2:a2=b3:c3:a3、これにより、光線が光出射頂面10、光入射面40及び光入射凸点41の表面を通る場合の屈折角度を一致させ、レンズ体から出射された光線を均一に分布させる。

- レンズ体を含み、
前記レンズ体には、光出射頂面、光出射側面及び光反射底面が設置され、
前記光出射側面の上縁及び下縁は、それぞれ前記光出射頂面の外縁、光反射底面の外縁に連結され、
前記光反射底面の中心には、光源取付穴が設置され、
前記光源取付穴の内壁は、光入射面であり、
前記光入射面の下縁は、前記光反射底面の内縁に連結される楕円体形状の広角バックライトレンズであって、
前記光源取付穴の頂部の中心には、下向きに凸になる光入射凸点が設置され、
前記光出射頂面、光入射面及び光入射凸点の表面は、いずれも楕円体形状の構造に形成され、
前記光反射底面の中心を直交座標系の原点Oとし、前記光出射頂面の表面を構成する楕円体の長軸方向をX軸、前記光入射面の表面を構成する楕円体の長軸方向をZ軸、これらに直交する軸をY軸と設定したとき、
前記光出射頂面の表面の方程式は、x 1 2 /a 1 2 +y 1 2 /b 1 2 +z 1 2 /c 1 2 =1で表され、
前記光入射面の表面の方程式は、x 2 2 /a 2 2 +y 2 2 /b 2 2 +z 2 2 /c 2 2 =1で表され、
前記光入射凸点の表面の方程式は、x 3 2 /a 3 2 +y 3 2 /b 3 2 +z 3 2 /c 3 2 =1で表され、
ここでは、a 1 >b 1 >c 1 ,c 2 >b 2 >a 2 ,b 3 >c 3 >a 3 となり、

- 前記光出射側面は、円柱面であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の楕円体形状の広角バックライトレンズ。
- 前記光出射側面及び光反射底面には、粒状表面が設けられることを特徴とする請求項1または3に記載の楕円体形状の広角バックライトレンズ。
- 前記光反射底面には、取付脚及び取付穴が設置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の楕円体形状の広角バックライトレンズ。
