Claims (17)
- カテーテルを製作する方法において、
第1ポリマー材料から形成された内側管状部材であって、末端区域、末端部、及び第1内径によって内側管状部材内に画定されるルーメンを有する、該内側管状部材を準備するステップと、
前記内側管状部材における前記末端区域の少なくとも一部分を縮径して第2内径を有する縮径先端部を形成するステップと、
前記縮径先端部に沿う内面からポリマー材料の一部を除去して、前記縮径先端部に第3内径を画定するステップと、を備え、
前記縮径先端部に沿う内面から除去するポリマー材料部分は、回転デバイス、フライス加工又はレーザー切除によって除去される、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - カテーテルを製作する方法において、
第1ポリマー材料から形成された内側管状部材であって、末端区域、末端部、及び第1内径によって内側管状部材内に画定されるルーメンを有する、該内側管状部材を準備するステップと、
前記内側管状部材における前記末端区域の少なくとも一部分を縮径して第2内径を有する縮径先端部を形成するステップと、
前記縮径先端部に沿う内面からポリマー材料の一部を除去して、前記縮径先端部に第3内径を画定するステップと、を備え、
前記内側管状部材は、第1外径を持つ第1部分、及び前記第2内径にほぼ等しい第2外径を持つ第2部分を有する段差付きマンドレル上で縮径する、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - カテーテルを製作する方法において、
第1ポリマー材料から形成された内側管状部材であって、末端区域、末端部、及び第1内径によって内側管状部材内に画定されるルーメンを有する、該内側管状部材を準備するステップと、
前記内側管状部材における前記末端区域の少なくとも一部分を縮径して第2内径を有する縮径先端部を形成するステップと、
前記縮径先端部に沿う内面からポリマー材料の一部を除去して、前記縮径先端部に第3内径を画定するステップと、
前記縮径先端部をモニタリングして除去深さを決定するステップと、
前記除去深さが所定閾値に達したとき、前記ポリマー材料部分を前記縮径先端部に沿う内面から除去するのを終了するステップと、を備えている、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - カテーテルを製作する方法において、
第1ポリマー材料から形成された内側管状部材であって、末端区域、末端部、及び第1内径によって内側管状部材内に画定されるルーメンを有する、該内側管状部材を準備するステップと、
前記内側管状部材における前記末端区域の少なくとも一部分を縮径して第2内径を有する縮径先端部を形成するステップと、
前記縮径先端部に沿う内面からポリマー材料の一部を除去して、前記縮径先端部に第3内径を画定するステップと、
作動長さ、末端ネック部及び末端レッグ部を有するバルーン内に前記内側管状部材の末端区域を位置決めする位置決めステップであって、前記内側管状部材の末端部が前記末端レッグ部の末端部を越えて末端方向に突出するよう位置決めするステップと、及び前記バルーンの末端レッグ部を前記内側管状部材の末端区域の少なくとも一部に結合するステップと、を備える、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記第2内径は前記第1内径よりも小さいものとする、方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記第3内径は前記第1内径にほぼ等しいものとする、方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記内側管状部材は、内径を持つホットダイを使用して縮径し、前記縮径先端部が前記ホットダイの前記内径にほぼ等しい外径を持つようにする、方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記ポリマー材料は、ナイロン、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、コポリアミド、ポリエステル、又はコポリエステルよりなるグループから選択した材料を有する、方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれか1項に記載の方法において、前記内側管状部材は、第1層、第2層、及び第3層を有し、前記第2層は前記第1層に対する外側層であり、又は前記第3層は第2層に対する外側層である多層管状部材とする、方法。
- 請求項4記載の方法において、前記バルーンは、ナイロン、ポリウレタン、ポリエチレン、コポリアミド、ポリエステル、又はコポリエステルよりなるグループから選択した材料を有する、方法。
- 請求項4記載の方法において、さらに、
バルーンを形成するステップを備え、このバルーン形成は、
熱塑性ポリマー材料を溶融押出成形してチューブルーメンを有するチューブを形成し、また前記押出成形チューブを溶融押出成形における昇温状態よりも低い温度に冷却するステップ、
前記押出成形チューブを捕捉部材内に配置するステップ、及び
前記押出成形チューブのポリマー材料を2軸配向させる2軸配向ステップであって、前記チューブルーメン内における加圧媒体により前記押出成形チューブを半径方向に拡張させ、また前記チューブの少なくとも一方の端部に荷重を加えて前記押出成形チューブを軸線方向に伸展させることによって行う、該2軸配向ステップ
によってバルーンを形成する、方法。 - 請求項4記載の方法において、前記バルーンは、第1層及び第2層を有する多層バルーンとし、前記第2層は前記第1層に対する外側層とする、方法。
- 請求項12記載の方法において、前記第1層は第1デュロメータ硬さを有する第1材料を有し、前記第2層は第2デュロメータ硬さを有する第2材料を有し、前記第2デュロメータ硬さは第1デュロメータ硬さよりも大きいものとする、方法。
- 請求項12記載の方法において、前記第1層は、約55D〜約63Dの範囲における第1デュロメータを有する第1材料とする、方法。
- 請求項14記載の方法において、前記第1材料は、ポリエーテルブロックアミドを含む、方法。
- 請求項12記載の方法において、前記第2層は、約70D〜約72Dの範囲におけるデュロメータを有する第2材料を含む、方法。
- 請求項16記載の方法において、前記第2材料は、ポリエーテルブロックアミドを含む、方法。
