Description
エンジン1は、前方吸気後方排気式に構成されている。すなわち、エンジン1は、図3に示すように、4つのシリンダ11(図1では1つのシリンダのみを図示)を有するエンジン本体10と、エンジン本体10の前側に配置され、吸気ポート17、18を介して各シリンダ11に連通する吸気通路30と、エンジン本体10の後側に配置され、排気ポート19を介して各シリンダ11に連通する排気通路50とを備えている。
以下、吸気通路30の構成について詳細に説明する。
まず、過給機34に吸入される側の通路構造について詳細に説明する。
次に、バイパス通路40側の構成について詳細に説明する。
エンジン1は、該エンジン1を運転するためのECUを備えている。ECUは、各種のセンサより出力された検知信号に基づいて、エンジン1の運転状態を判断すると共に、種々のアクチュエータの制御量を計算する。そして、ECUは、計算した制御量に対応する制御信号を、インジェクタ6、点火プラグ25、吸気電動VVT23、排気電動VVT24、燃料供給システム61、スロットルバルブ32、EGRバルブ54、過給機34の電磁クラッチ34a、及び、バイパスバルブ41に出力し、エンジン1を運転する。
前記実施形態では、逆流防止構造としての一対の壁部71、72を、サージタンク38の導入口38bの周囲に形成した構成について説明したが、この構成には限られない。逆流防止構造を形成する場所は、第3通路37の上流端部から、サージタンク38の導入口38b周辺にかけての区間内であればよい。

Claims (5)
- 燃焼室に連通する吸気ポートと、ガスの流れ方向に沿って上流側から順にインタークーラ及びサージタンクが介設され、下流端部が前記吸気ポートに接続された吸気通路と、を備えたエンジンの吸気通路構造であって、
前記吸気通路は、車両搭載状態において前記インタークーラが前記サージタンクよりも下方に位置するように配置され、且つ、前記インタークーラと前記サージタンクの底部とを接続する導入通路を有し、
前記導入通路の上流端部から該導入通路の下流端部と前記サージタンクとの接続部にかけての区間内に、ガスの流れとは逆流する水分を受け止める逆流防止構造が形成されている
ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気通路構造。 - 請求項1に記載されたエンジンの吸気通路構造において、
前記導入通路は、前記サージタンクの底部に形成された導入口を介して該サージタンクに接続されており、
前記逆流防止構造は、前記導入口の周囲に形成されている
ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気通路構造。 - 請求項2に記載されたエンジンの吸気通路構造において、
前記エンジンは、列状に配置された複数の気筒を有し、
前記サージタンクは、気筒列方向に延設され、
前記吸気通路は、
前記インタークーラよりも上流側に介設された過給機と、
前記過給機よりも上流側から分岐し且つ該過給機及び前記インタークーラを迂回して前記サージタンクに接続されたバイパス通路と、を有し、
前記バイパス通路と前記サージタンクとの接続部は、前記導入口、及び、前記逆流防止構造の双方に対して、気筒列方向にオフセットした位置に設定されている
ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気通路構造。 - 請求項3に記載されたエンジンの吸気通路構造において、
前記燃焼室から排出された既燃ガスが流れる排気通路と、
前記排気通路と前記吸気通路とを接続し、前記既燃ガスの一部を前記吸気通路に還流させるEGR通路と、を備え、
前記EGR通路の下流端は、前記吸気通路において、前記バイパス通路の上流端よりも上流側に接続されている
ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気通路構造。 - 請求項2乃至4のいずれか1項に記載されたエンジンの吸気通路構造において、
前記逆流防止構造は、前記サージタンクの底面から立ち上がる壁部によって構成されている
ことを特徴とするエンジンの吸気通路構造。
