Description
請求項3に記載の本発明に係る車両用エアバッグ装置は、請求項1又は2において、前記衝突時ガス供給部は、火薬の燃焼によってガスを発生させるパイロ方式のインフレータであり、前記衝突前ガス供給部は、火薬と充填ガスとを組み合わせてガスを発生させるハイブリッド方式のインフレータである。
以下、図面を参照して、第1実施形態に係る車両用エアバッグ装置について説明する。なお、各図に適宜示される矢印FRは車両前方側を示しており、矢印UPは車両上方側を示している。また、以下の説明で特記なく前後、上下、左右の方向を用いる場合は、車両前後方向の前後、車両上下方向の上下、進行方向を向いた場合の左右を示すものとする。
図1に示されるように、車両用エアバッグ装置10(以下、適宜「エアバッグ装置10」と称する。)は、キャビンの車両前側に設けられており、本実施形態では一例として、助手席の車両前方のインストルメントパネル12内に配置されている。また、エアバッグ装置10は、エアバッグ14と、エアバッグ14を収納するエアバッグケース(リテーナ)16と、衝突前ガス供給部としての第1インフレータ18と、衝突時ガス供給部としての第2インフレータ20とを含んで構成されている。
次に、本実施形態に係る車両用エアバッグ装置10の動作について説明する。初めに、エアバッグ14が膨張展開される前の状態では、図1の二点鎖線で示されるように、エアバッグ14が折り畳まれた状態でエアバッグケース16に収納されている。
次に、本実施形態の作用並びに効果を説明する。
図6に示されるように、本変形例のアクチュエータ50は、エアバッグケース16の底部16Cの下面側に配置されており、略半円弧状のブラケット54によってエアバッグケース16の底部16Cに固定されている。また、アクチュエータ50は、アクチュエータ本体52と、コネクタ56と、カッタ58とを含んで構成されている。
次に、図7を参照して第2実施形態に係る車両用エアバッグ装置について説明する。なお、第1実施形態と同様の構成については、同じ符号を付し、適宜説明を省略する。

Claims (3)
- エアバッグケース内に折り畳んで収納され、ガスの供給を受けて助手席側の車両用シートへ向かって膨張展開されるエアバッグと、
前記エアバッグケースに設けられ、衝突センサからの信号に基づいて車両の前面衝突が検知された際に、前記エアバッグへガスを供給させる衝突時ガス供給部と、
前記エアバッグケースに設けられ、車両の前面衝突前で衝突予知センサからの信号に基づいて車両の前面衝突が不可避であると判断された際に、前記衝突時ガス供給部から前記エアバッグへ供給されるガスの温度よりも低温のガスを前記エアバッグへ供給させる衝突前ガス供給部と、
前記エアバッグに取り付けられて前記エアバッグの膨張展開時に前記エアバッグに形成されたベントホールの少なくとも一部を覆うテザーと、
を有し、
前記衝突前ガス供給部の作動時には前記テザーの取付状態を維持し、前記衝突時ガス供給部の作動と同時に、又は前記衝突時ガス供給部を作動させた後に、前記テザーの取付状態を解除させて前記ベントホールを開放させるアクチュエータが設けられている車両用エアバッグ装置。 - 前記アクチュエータは、前記衝突時ガス供給部から発生したガスが流れるガス流路と接続されると共に、前記衝突時ガス供給部からガスの供給を受けて前記テザーの取付状態を解除させる請求項1に記載の車両用エアバッグ装置。
- 前記衝突時ガス供給部は、火薬の燃焼によってガスを発生させるパイロ方式のインフレータであり、
前記衝突前ガス供給部は、火薬と充填ガスとを組み合わせてガスを発生させるハイブリッド方式のインフレータである請求項1又は2に記載の車両用エアバッグ装置。
