Description
Claims (13)
- マトリクス状に配置された複数の画素からなる表示領域を有する基板と、
前記基板上の前記複数の画素のそれぞれにおいて形成され、導電体からなる下部電極と、
前記下部電極上に形成され、発光層を含む有機層と、
前記有機層上に形成され、導電体からなる上部電極と、
少なくとも一部に高分子分散液晶を含み、前記下部電極の端部に接触して隣接する前記画素の前記下部電極間を絶縁する画素分離膜と、を備え、
前記上部電極は、前記画素分離膜の上に位置し、かつ前記隣接する前記画素と前記画素分離膜とに跨って配置される表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、
前記画素分離膜は、前記上部電極と前記下部電極との電位差の変化により、光の散乱の度合いが変化する、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項2に記載の表示装置において、
前記上部電極と前記下部電極との電位差が大きくなるにつれて、前記画素分離膜の前記散乱の度合いが増加する、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、
前記画素分離膜の前記高分子分散液晶は前記下部電極に接している、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項1又は4に記載の表示装置において、
前記画素分離膜は、
有機または無機の材料からなる第1部分と、
前記高分子分散液晶からなる第2部分と、を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項5に記載の表示装置において、
前記第2部分は、前記第1部分上を覆って形成されることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項5に記載の表示装置において、
前記第1部分は、前記第2部分よりも遮光性のある材料により形成され、前記下部電極に接することなく、前記第2部分に接して形成される、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 基板と、
第1の画素と、
前記第1の画素に隣接する第2の画素と、
前記基板に形成され、前記第1の画素に位置する第1の下部電極と、
前記基板に形成され、前記第2の画素に位置する第2の下部電極と、
前記第1の下部電極の上に形成された発光層を含む第1の有機層と、
前記第2の下部電極の上に形成された発光層を含む第2の有機層と、
前記第1の画素と前記第2の画素との境界部に位置し、前記第1の下部電極と前記第2の下部電極とに接し、高分子分散液晶を含む画素分離膜と、
前記第1の画素と前記第2の画素と前記画素分離膜とに跨って形成された上部電極と、を備える表示装置。 - 請求項8に記載の表示装置において、
前記画素分離膜は、前記高分子分散液晶を含む高分子分散液晶層を有し、
前記高分子分散液晶層は前記第1の下部電極と前記第2の下部電極とに接していることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項8に記載の表示装置において、
前記上部電極と前記下部電極との電位差が大きくなるにつれて、前記画素分離膜の光散乱の度合いが増加する、ことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項8記載の表示装置において、
前記画素分離膜は、
有機または無機の材料からなる第1部分と、
前記高分子分散液晶からなる第2部分と、を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項11に記載の表示装置において、
前記第2部分は、前記第1部分上を覆って形成されることを特徴とする表示装置。 - 請求項11に記載の表示装置において、
前記第1部分は、前記第2部分よりも遮光性のある材料により形成され、前記下部電極に接することなく、前記第2部分に接して形成される、ことを特徴とする表示装置。
