ようにしてある(請求項2対応)。この場合、運転者状態について、運転への集中度合いと運転への余裕度合いとをパラメータとして4種類の類型に分類して、外的な集中による緊張状態であることを精度よく判定できるようにして、運転支援による緊張状態の低減を効果的に行う上で極めて好ましいものとなる。
運転者が受動的に運転を行っていることによる外的な集中度合いを判定する外的集中度合い判定手段と、
運転者が、運転操作以外のことに集中している運転外集中度合いを判定する運転外集中度合い判定手段と、
運転者がなにも集中していないスペア余裕の度合いを判定するスペア余裕度合い判定手段と、
をさらに備え、
前記類型手段は、前記内的集中度合い判定手段と前記外的集中度合い判定手段と前記運転外集中度合い判定手段と前記スペア余裕度合い判定手段との各判定結果に基づいて、前記類型に関する分類を行う、
ようにしてある(請求項3対応)。この場合、各集中度合いおよびスペア余裕度合いを個別に判定することにより4種類の類型を精度よく分類することができ、緊張状態の低減を効果的に行う上で好ましいものとなる。
前記運転状態検出手段が、少なくともアクセルペダルとブレーキペダルとの操作状況を検出するセンサを含むものとされている、
ようにしてある(請求項5対応)。この場合、各集中度合いおよびスペア余裕度合を判定するために用いる機器類として一般的なものを用いつつ、各集中度合いおよびスペア余裕度合を精度よく判定する上で好ましいものとなる。

Claims (5)
- 運転者が受動的に運転を行うことにより運転への外的集中が高くなっている緊張状態であるか否かを判定する緊張状態判定手段と、
前記緊張状態判定手段によって運転者が緊張状態であると判定されたときに、運転者が能動的に運転を行うことにより運転への内的集中を高めて運転意欲が向上される方向への運転支援を行う運転支援手段と、
運転者の体調を検出する体調検出手段と、
渋滞状態であることを検出する渋滞検出手段と、
を備え、
前記運転支援手段は、前記体調検出手段によって運転者の体調が良好であることが検出されかつ前記渋滞検出手段によって渋滞が検出されていないことを条件として、運転への内的集中を高めて運転意欲が向上される方向への運転支援を行う、
ことを特徴とする運転支援装置。 - 請求項1において、
運転者の状態を検出する運転者状態検出手段と、
運転者による運転操作状態を検出する運転状態検出手段と、
運転者による運転操作とは無関係な車載機器の操作状態を検出する機器操作状態検出手段と、
前記各検出手段での検出結果に基づいて、運転者の運転に対する集中度合いと運転に対する余裕度合いとをパラメータとする複数の類型に分類する分類手段と、
を備え、
前記分類手段は、運転に対する集中度合いが低くかつ運転に対する余裕度合いが低くなって運転以外への集中度合いが高くなる第1類型と、運転に対する集中度合いが低くかつ運転に対する余裕度合いが高くて運転に対する余裕が十分にある第2類型と、運転に対する集中度合いが高くかつ運転に対する余裕度合いが低くて外的要因によって運転への外的集中が高くなっている第3類型と、運転に対する集中度合いが高くかつ運転に対する余裕度合いが高くて運転への内的な集中が高くなっている第4類型と、に分類し、
前記緊張状態判定手段は、前記分類手段によって前記第3類型であると分類されたときに運転者が緊張状態であると判定する、
ことを特徴とする運転支援装置。
- 請求項2において、
運転者が能動的に運転を行っていることによる内的な集中度合いを判定する内的集中度合い判定手段と、
運転者が受動的に運転を行っていることによる外的な集中度合いを判定する外的集中度合い判定手段と、
運転者が、運転操作以外のことに集中している運転外集中度合いを判定する運転外集中度合い判定手段と、 運転者がなにも集中していないスペア余裕の度合いを判定するスペア余裕度合い判定手段と、
をさらに備え、
前記類型手段は、前記内的集中度合い判定手段と前記外的集中度合い判定手段と前記運転外集中度合い判定手段と前記スペア余裕度合い判定手段との各判定結果に基づいて、前記類型に関する分類を行う、
ことを特徴とする運転支援装置。 - 請求項3において、
前記類型判定手段は、前記内的集中度合いと前記スペア余裕度合いとがそれぞれ運転者の余裕度合いに関する値とし、前記内的集中度合いと前記外的集中度合いとがそれぞれ運転者の集中度合いに関する値として、前記類型についての分類を行う、ことを特徴とする運転支援装置。 - 請求項2ないし請求項4のいずれか1項において、
前記運転者状態検出手段が、少なくとも運転者の顔面を含む画像を取得する撮像手段を含むものとされ、
前記運転状態検出手段が、少なくともアクセルペダルとブレーキペダルとの操作状況を検出するセンサを含むものとされている、
ことを特徴とする運転支援装置。
