Description
にしたがう、発光層マトリックス材料M1、エミッター化合物E1とマトリックス材料M2の成分のHOMOの相対配置に基づいて、電子素子の寿命が著しく改善されるという予期し得ない効果が達成される。素子の効率と駆動電圧は、好ましくは、さらに、改善される。
ここで、発光層は、少なくとも一つのエミッター化合物E、少なくとも一つのマトリックス材料M1と少なくとも一つのマトリックス材料M2とを含み、ここで、エミッター化合物Eは、互いに縮合する2〜4個の芳香族環より成る少なくとも一つの縮合アリール基もしくはヘテロアリール基を含む化合物から選ばれ、
ここで、マトリックス材料M2は、少なくとも一つのアントラセン単位を含む化合物から選ばれ、
および、ここで、化合物E、M1およびM2のHOMOには、以下が適用される:
HOMO(M1)>HOMO(E)>HOMO(M2)。
Ar1は、互いに縮合する2〜4個の芳香族環より成る少なくとも一つの縮合アリールもしくはヘテロアリール基を含む10〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり、ここで、芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造は、1以上の基R1により置換されてよく;
Ar2は、1以上の基R1により置換されてよい6〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R1は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、C(=O)R2、CN、Si(R2)3、N(R2)3、P(=O)(R2)2、S(=O)R2、S(=O)2R2、1〜20個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、3〜20個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、2〜20個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルキニル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R2により置換されてよく、上記言及した基中の1以上のCH2基は、-R2C=CR2-、-C≡C-、Si(R2)2、C=O、C=S、C=NR2、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR2-、NR2、P(=O)(R2)、-O-、-S-、SOもしくはSO2で置き代えられてよく、および上記言及した基中の一以上のH原子は、D、FもしくはCNで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に1以上の基2により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造または、1以上の基R2により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有するアリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基であり;ここで、2個以上の基R1は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;
R2は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族、芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族有機基であって、さらに、1以上のH原子は、DもしくはFで置き代えられてよく;ここで、2個以上の置換基R2は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;および
oは、0、1、2、3または4である。
ここで、式Ar1−3とAr1−4の基は、6員環の一つに縮合する少なくとも一つの追加的縮合芳香族環を含まねばならない。
Ar3は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、1以上の基R3により置換されてよい5〜50個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R3は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、C(=O)R4、CN、Si(R4)3、P(=O)(R4)2、S(=O)R4、S(=O)2R4、1〜20個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、3〜20個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、2〜20個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルキニル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R4により置換されてよく、上記言及した基中の1以上のCH2基は、-R4C=CR4-、-C≡C-、Si(R4)2、C=O、C=S、C=NR4、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR4-、P(=O)(R4)、-O-、-S-、SOもしくはSO2で置き代えられてよく、および上記言及した基中の一以上のH原子は、D、FもしくはCNで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に1以上の基4により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造または、1以上の基R4により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有するアリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基であり;ここで、2個以上の基R3は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;
R4は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族、芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族有機基であって、さらに、1以上のH原子は、DもしくはFで置き代えられてよく;ここで、2個以上の置換基R4は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよい。
Zは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、NまたはCR3であり;ここで、置換基が結合する場合、Zは、Cであり;
Xは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、単結合、O、S、Se、BR3、C(R3)2、Si(R3)2、NR3、PR3、C(R3)2-C(R3)2もしくはCR3=CR3であり、
Yは、単結合、O、S、Se、BR3、C(R3)2、Si(R3)2、NR3、PR3、C(R3)2-C(R3)2もしくはCR3=CR3であり、
Eは、O、S、Se、BR3、C(R3)2、Si(R3)2、NR3、PR3、C(R3)2-C(R3)2もしくはCR3=CR3であり、
Ar3は、上記に定義されるとおりであり;
Ar4は、1以上の基R3により置換されてよい6〜18個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R3は、上記に定義されるとおりであり;
iは、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、0または1であり、ここで、全てのiの合計は、少なくとも1であり;
pは、0または1であり;
m,nは、出現毎に、0または1であり、ここで、mとnの合計は、1または2である。
Ar5は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、1以上の基R5により置換されてよい5〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R5は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、C(=O)R6、CN、Si(R6)3、N(R6)2、P(=O)(R6)2、S(=O)R6、S(=O)2R6、1〜20個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、3〜20個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、2〜20個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルキニル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R6により置換されてよく、上記言及した基中の1以上のCH2基は、-R6C=CR6-、-C≡C-、Si(R6)2、C=O、C=S、C=NR6、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR6-、NR6-、P(=O)(R6)、-O-、-S-、SOもしくはSO2で置き代えられてよく、および上記言及した基中の一以上のH原子は、D、FもしくはCNで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に1以上の基6により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造または、1以上の基R6により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有するアリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基であり;ここで、2個以上の基R5は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;
R6は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、1〜20個のC原子を有する脂肪族、芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族有機基であって、さらに、1以上のH原子は、DもしくはFで置き代えられてよく;ここで、2個以上の置換基R6は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;
アントラセンは、全ての遊離位置でR5により置換されてよい。
Ar5は、上記定義のとおりであり、ベンズアントラセニル基は、アントラセンに、1、2、3、4、5もしくは6位で結合することができ、ベンズアントラセンとアントラセンは、全ての遊離位置でR5により置換されてよい。
Ar6は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、1以上の基R5により置換されてよい10〜18個の芳香族環原子を有する縮合アリールもしくはヘテロアリール基から選ばれ、および
アントラセン基とフェニレン基は、全ての遊離位置でR5により置換されてよい。
HOMO(M1)>HOMO(E)>HOMO(M2)。
ここで、マトリックス材料M2は、少なくとも一つのアントラセン単位を含む化合物から選ばれ、
および、ここで、化合物E、M1およびM2のHOMOには、以下が適用される:
HOMO(M1)>HOMO(E)>HOMO(M2)。
アノード/正孔注入層/正孔輸送層/随意に、追加的正孔輸送層、好ましくは、1、2または3個のさらなる正孔輸送層/発光層/電子輸送層/電子注入層/カソード。
以下の実施例は、本発明を説明する役目を担う。これらを限定として解釈すべきではない。
材料のHOMOおよびLUMO位置と三重項レベルを、量子化学計算によって決定する。この目的のために、「ガウシアン03W」ソフトウエアパッケージ(Gaussian Inc.)を使用する。金属を含まない有機物質を計算するために、「基底状態/準実験的/デフォルトスピン/AM1/電荷0/一重項スピン」法を使用して、第1に幾何学的な最適化を実行する。続いて幾何学的な最適化を基準にしてエネルギー計算を実行する。ここでは、「6−31G(d)」ベースセット(電荷0/一重項スピン)を用いる「TD−SCF/DFT/デフォルトスピン/B3PW91」法を使用する。有機金属化合物に対しては、ジオメトリーは、「基底状態/ハートリー-フォック/デフォルトスピン/LanL2MB/電荷0/一重項スピン」法を介して最適化される。
LUMO(eV)=((LEh*27.212)−2.0041)/1.385
本願の目的においては、これらの値は、夫々、材料のHOMOまたはLUMOとみなされる。たとえば、−0.19767ハートリーのHOMOと、−0.04783ハートリーのLUMOが計算から得られ、これは−5.68346eVの較正されたHOMOと、−2.38675eVの較正されたLUMOに対応する。
種々のOLEDに対する結果を、以下の例V1〜V5とE1〜E3で提示する(素子の構造についての表2と、素子で得られた測定データについての表3とを参照)。文字「E」とその後に番号が付された例は、本発明による例を示し、文字「V」とその後に番号が付された例は、比較例を示している。
Claims (11)
- アノード、カソードおよび少なくとも一つの発光層を含む電子素子であって、
ここで、発光層は、少なくとも一つのエミッター化合物E、少なくとも一つのマトリックス材料M1と少なくとも一つのマトリックス材料M2とを含み、
ここで、エミッター化合物Eは、以下の式(I)の化合物であり、
ここで、式Ar 1 −3とAr 1 −4の基は、6員環の一つに縮合する少なくとも一つの追加的縮合芳香族環を含まねばならず;
Ar 2 は、1以上の基R 1 により置換されてよい6〜40個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造であり;
R 1 は、出現毎に同一であるか異なり、H、D、F、C(=O)R 2 、CN、Si(R 2 ) 3 、N(R 2 ) 3 、P(=O)(R 2 ) 2 、S(=O)R 2 、S(=O) 2 R 2 、1〜20個のC原子を有する直鎖アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、3〜20個のC原子を有する分岐あるいは環状アルキルもしくはアルコキシ基、2〜20個のC原子を有するアルケニルもしくはアルキニル基(上記言及した基は、夫々1以上の基R 2 により置換されてよく、上記言及した基中の1以上のCH 2 基は、-R 2 C=CR 2 -、-C≡C-、Si(R 2 ) 2 、C=O、C=S、C=NR 2 、-C(=O)O-、-C(=O)NR 2 -、NR 2 、P(=O)(R 2 )、-O-、-S-、SOもしくはSO 2 で置き代えられてよく、および上記言及した基中の一以上のH原子は、D、FもしくはCNで置き代えられてよい。)または、各場合に1以上の基 2 により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有する芳香族もしくは複素環式芳香族環構造または、1以上の基R 2 により置換されてよい5〜30個の芳香族環原子を有するアリールオキシもしくはヘテロアリールオキシ基であり;ここで、2個以上の基R 1 は、たがいに結合してよく、および環を形成してよく;

ここで、マトリックス材料M2は、少なくとも一つのアントラセン単位を含む化合物から選ばれ、
および、ここで、化合物E、M1およびM2のHOMOには、以下が適用される電子素子:
HOMO(M1)>HOMO(E)>HOMO(M2)。 - エミッター化合物Eは、蛍光化合物であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の電子素子。
- エミッター化合物Eは、アリールアミノ基を含まないことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の電子素子。
- oは、0、1または2であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- 式Ar1−3とAr1−4の基は、単一の6員環に、もしくは複数の異なる6員環に縮合することができる2または3個の追加的縮合芳香族環を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1〜4何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- マトリックス材料M1は、モノトリアリールアミノ化合物から選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- エミッター化合物E、マトリックス材料M1とマトリックス材料M2は、異なって選ばれることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- マトリックス材料M1は、発光層中に、1〜90体積%の割合で存在することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- 有機発光トランジスタ(OLET)、有機太陽電池(OSC)、有機光学検査器、有機光受容器、有機電場消光素子(OFQD)、発光電子化学電池(OLEC)、有機レーザーダイオード(O-laser)および有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子(OLED)から選ばれる請求項1〜8何れか1項記載の電子素子。
- 少なくとも一つのさらなる発光層を有することを特徴とする、有機エレクトロルミッセンス素子から選ばれる請求項9記載の電子素子。
- 表示装置での、照明用光源または医用もしくは美容用の光源としての、請求項1〜10何れか1項記載の電子素子の使用。
