Description
請求項1に記載の発明は、パッドを有するヘッドレストを備えており、パッドのうち、着座者の頭部を受け止める部位には、インサート材が備えられている乗物用シートである。インサート材は、パッドより硬度の高い硬質ウレタンから形成されている。硬質ウレタンの硬度は、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストに対して隙を有した状態で乗物に後突が発生したとき、着座者に作用する慣性力によって、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストの内部へ沈み込むことを防止できるものとなっている。また、硬質ウレタンの硬度は、その後、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストに対して隙を詰めた状態になると、引き続き着座者に作用する慣性力によって、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストの内部に沈み込むことを許容できるものとなっており、硬質ウレタンは、その後、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストに対して隙を詰めた状態になると、引き続き着座者に作用する慣性力によって、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストの内部に沈み込むとき、硬質ウレタン自身が変形した状態または破断した状態となっており、硬質ウレタンには、この変形または破断の起点を成す起点部が形成されており、起点部は、ヘッドレストの幅方向の略中央に上下方向に沿って形成されたスリットから構成されている。

- パッドを有するヘッドレストを備えており、パッドのうち、着座者の頭部を受け止める部位には、インサート材が備えられている乗物用シートであって、

着座者の頭部がヘッドレストに対して隙を有した状態で乗物に後突が発生したとき、着座者に作用する慣性力によって、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストの内部へ沈み込むことを防止できつつ、
その後、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストに対して隙を詰めた状態になると、引き続き着座者に作用する慣性力によって、着座者の頭部がヘッドレストの内部に沈み込むことを許容できるものとなっており、
