Abstract
【解決手段】エアバッグ1は、助手席とインストルメントパネルとの間で膨張展開する助手席用のエアバッグである。このエアバッグ1は、メインバッグ2と、メインバッグ2の左右の側部に連結された左サブバッグ3及び右サブバッグ4とを備える。左サブバッグ3は、メインバッグ2よりも後方に突出するように膨張する。左サブバッグ3と右サブバッグ4の上面がタイパネル5で連結されている。

Claims (8)
- 助手席とインストルメントパネルとの間で膨張展開する助手席用のエアバッグであって、
メインバッグと、該メインバッグの左右の側部にそれぞれ連結された左サブバッグ及び右サブバッグとを備え、
該左サブバッグと右サブバッグとがエアバッグの上部において連結部材によって連結されており、
前記連結部材は、前記メインバッグの上側に配置され、前記左サブバッグ及び前記右サブバッグの上部に連結されており、前記メインバッグには連結されておらず、
前記メインバッグからガスが前記左サブバッグ及び右サブバッグに流入して各サブバッグが膨張するよう構成されていることを特徴とするエアバッグ。 - 請求項1において、前記連結部材はタイパネルであり、前記メインバッグの上部で該タイパネルを覆い、該タイパネルの位置を規制する位置規制パネルが設けられていることを特徴とするエアバッグ。
- 請求項1において、前記連結部材はタイダクトであり、該タイダクトによって前記左サブバッグと右サブバッグとが連通していることを特徴とするエアバッグ。
- 請求項1において、前記エアバッグの上部、下部及び前部の少なくとも1つに沿って、メインバッグと左右のサブバッグとが縫着されていることを特徴とするエアバッグ。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項において、膨張完了状態で、車両センター側の前記サブバッグの後部の少なくとも一部は、前記メインバッグよりも後方に位置することを特徴とするエアバッグ。
- 請求項5において、膨張完了状態で、前記車両センター側のサブバッグの少なくとも上部の後端部は、前記メインバッグよりも後方に位置することを特徴とするエアバッグ。
- 助手席とインストルメントパネルとの間で膨張展開する助手席用のエアバッグであって、
メインバッグと、該メインバッグの左右の側部にそれぞれ連結された左サブバッグ及び右サブバッグとを備え、
該左サブバッグと右サブバッグとがエアバッグの上部、下部及び前部の少なくとも1箇所において連結されており、
膨張完了状態で、前記メインバッグは、車両前後方向の中間部よりも前方側で左右幅が最大の最大幅部となっており、
該メインバッグの左右幅は、該最大幅部から後方に向って徐々に減少していることを特徴とするエアバッグ。 - 請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のエアバッグと、
前記メインバッグにガスを供給するインフレータと、
を備えることを特徴とするエアバッグ装置。
