Description
したがって、本発明に係る車両よりも充電容量が小さくて済む別機種の車両に合わせて、例えば、第1組電池及び第1開閉ユニットを構成すれば、この第1組電池及び第1開閉ユニットを別機種の車両にそのまま搭載(つまり、流用)できる。したがって、本発明に係る車両に特化した組電池及び開閉ユニットを製造する場合と比較して、第1組電池及び第1開閉ユニットを大量生産でき、これらの製造コストを安くすることができる。なお、第2組電池及び第2開閉ユニットを別機種の車両に流用する場合も同様のことがいえる。
つまり、本発明によれば、電動パワープラントの異なる車両間で機器(第1組電池、第1開閉ユニット、第2組電池、第2開閉ユニット)の互換性を高くし、本発明に係る車両、及び別機種の車両の製造コストを従来よりも低減できる。
<車両の構成>
図1は、本実施形態に係る車両のシステム構成図である。
車両Vは、車体D(図3参照)と、蓄電池装置1と、VCU2(Voltage Control Unit)と、インバータ3と、走行モータ4と、コンバータ5と、補機6と、チャージャ7と、ECU8(Electric Control Unit)と、を備えている。
車体D(図3参照)は、車両Vの外形を構成すると共に、蓄電池装置1、VCU2、インバータ3、走行モータ4、コンバータ5、補機6、チャージャ7、ECU8等の機器が設置されるものである。
VCU2は、ECU8からの指令に従って蓄電池装置1の充放電を制御する。インバータ3は、蓄電池装置1からVCU2を介して供給される直流電力を三相交流電力に変換し、この三相交流電力を走行モータ4に出力する。なお、インバータ3は、回生制動時に走行モータ4から供給される三相交流電力を直流電力に変換し、この直流電力を蓄電池装置1に出力する機能も有している。
図2は、車両が備える第1電池パック及び第2電池パックを含む構成図である。蓄電池装置1は、第1電池パック10と、第2電池パック20と、を備えている。なお、第1電池パック10及び第2電池パック20は、端子T1,T2を介してVCU2(図1参照)、コンバータ5、及びチャージャ7に接続されている。
第1電池パック10は、直列ユニット11a,11bと、ジャンクションボード12と、を備えている。
直列ユニット11aは、直列接続された所定個のバッテリセルCを有している。バッテリセルCとして、例えば、リチウムイオン蓄電池を用いることができる。図2に示す例では、直列ユニット11aは、複数のバッテリセルCが直列接続されてなる電池ブロックB,Bが、スイッチSを介して直列接続されることで構成されている。他方の直列ユニット11bについても同様である。
なお、所定個のバッテリセルCが直列接続されてなる直列ユニットを少なくとも一つ有する「第1組電池」は、直列ユニット11a,11bを含んで構成される。
ジャンクションボード12は、端子T3を介して直列ユニット11aの正極端子に接続され、端子T4を介して直列ユニット11aの負極端子に接続されている。同様に、ジャンクションボード12は、端子T5,T6を介して直列ユニット11bに接続されている。
ヒューズ12gは、自身に定格以上の大電流が流れた際に溶断することで、直列ユニット11a及びジャンクションボード12のデバイスを保護するものである。
また、正極側の接続点H1は、配線J1(分岐経路)を介して端子T7(接続端子)に接続され、負極側の接続点H2は、別の配線J2(分岐経路)を介して端子T8(接続端子)に接続されている。
なお、配線J1,J2は、前記した「電力供給経路」においてメインコンタクタ12a,12b等よりも走行モータ4側(図1参照)から分岐して、「電力供給経路」と、ジャンクションボード12の外部へ接続可能な端子T7,T8と、を接続する配線である。
また、直列ユニット11a,11bが有する電池ブロックBと、ジャンクションボード12と、は樹脂製の筐体G1(図3参照)に収納されている。
図2に示す第2電池パック20は、直列ユニット21と、ジャンクションボード22と、を備えている。
直列ユニット21は、複数のバッテリセルCが直列接続されてなる電池ブロックB,Bが、スイッチSを介して直列接続されることで構成されている。直列ユニット21が有するバッテリセルCの個数は、第1電池パック10の直列ユニット11a,11bが有するバッテリセルCの個数に等しい。
なお、所定個のバッテリセルCが直列接続されてなる直列ユニットを少なくとも一つ有する「第2組電池」は、直列ユニット21を含んで構成される。
また、直列ユニット21が有する電池ブロックBと、ジャンクションボード22と、は樹脂製の筐体G2(図3参照)に収納されている。
正極側の接続配線K1は、ジャンクションボード12の端子T7と、ジャンクションボード22の端子T11と、を接続する配線である。つまり、ジャンクションボード22(第2開閉ユニット)の端子T11(出力端子)は、ジャンクションボード12(第1開閉ユニット)の端子T7(接続端子)に接続配線K1を介して接続されている。同様に、負極側の接続配線K2は、ジャンクションボード12の端子T8と、ジャンクションボード22の端子T12と、を接続する配線である。接続配線K1,K2がジャンクションボード12,22に接続されることで、第1電池パック10の直列ユニット11a,11b、及び第2電池パック20の直列ユニット21が並列接続されている。
図3(a)、(b)は、第1電池パック及び第2電池パックの配置を示す説明図である。なお、図3(a)、(b)では、各電池ブロックBとジャンクションボード12,22とを接続する配線の図示を省略している。
図3(a)、(b)に示す例では、横置きに並べられた4個の電池ブロックBと、ジャンクションボード12と、が樹脂製の筐体G1に収納されることで第1電池パック10が構成されている。同様に、横置きに並べられた2個の電池ブロックBと、ジャンクションボード22と、が樹脂製の筐体G2に収納されることで第2電池パック20が構成されている。なお、各電池ブロックB及びジャンクションボード12,22の配置を適宜変更してもよい。
本実施形態では、ジャンクションボードを二つ(ジャンクションボード12,22)に分けたため、直列ユニット11a,11b,21に対応する一つのジャンクションボードを設ける場合と比較して、ジャンクションボード12の縦幅及び横幅を小さくすることができる。したがって、ジャンクションボード12の大きさに合わせてセンタコンソールLの横幅を広げる必要はなく、その分だけフロントシートQaの横幅を充分に確保し、乗員の乗り心地を良くすることができる。
以下では、一例として、レンジエクステンダーEVである別機種の車両VAに、第1電池パック10を設置する場合について説明する。
図4(a)に示すように、別機種の車両VAは、本実施形態に係る車両V(バッテリ式電気自動車)に、発電用エンジン91と、この発電用エンジン91に連結される発電機92と、を追加し、蓄電池装置1Aが第1電池パック10を備える構成になっている(図4(b)参照)。
詳細な説明は省略するが、第1電池パック10の残量が少なくなった際に発電用エンジン91を駆動して発電機92で発電を行い、その発電電力で蓄電池装置1Aの直列ユニット11a,11b(図4参照)を充電するようになっている。
これによって、本実施形態に係る車両Vが備える直列ユニット11a,11b及びジャンクションボード12の構成を変更することなく、別機種の車両VAにそのまま流用できる。つまり、本実施形態に係る車両Vと、別機種の車両VAと、の間で直列ユニット11a,11b及びジャンクションボード12の共用化を図ることができ、ひいては車両V,VAの製造コストを低減できる。
本実施形態に係る車両Vによれば、バッテリ式電気自動車である車両Vよりも充電容量が小さくて済む別機種の車両VA(例えば、レンジエクステンダーEV)に合わせて第1電池パック10を構成することで、直列ユニット11a,11b及びジャンクションボード12を車両VAとの間で共用化できる。したがって、本実施形態に係る車両Vに特化した直列ユニット及びジャンクションボードを製造する場合と比較して、これらを大量生産でき、車両V,VAの製造コストを低減できる。
以上、本発明に係る車両Vについて前記実施形態により説明したが、本発明はこれらの記載に限定されるものではなく、種々の変更を行うことができる。
例えば、前記実施形態では、車両Vに搭載される第1電池パック10及び第2電池パック20のうち、第1電池パック10をレンジエクステンダーEVに搭載可能に構成する場合について説明したが、これに限らない。すなわち、燃料電池自動車やハイブリッド自動車等、バッテリの充電容量が比較的小さくて済む別機種の車両に第2電池パック20をそのまま搭載してもよい。換言すると、別機種の車両に合わせて第2電池パック20を構成し、充電容量の不足分を第1電池パック10で補うようにしてもよい。これによって、本実施形態に係る車両Vと別機種の車両との間で第2電池パック20を共用化できる。
また、前記実施形態では、車両Vがバッテリ式電気自動車である場合について説明したが、これに限らない。例えば、車両Vを燃料電池自動車とし、この燃料電池自動車に搭載される二つの電池パックのうち一方又は両方に関して、別機種の車両との間で共用化を図るようにしてもよい。

- 車体と、
前記車体に設置され、所定個のバッテリセルが直列接続されてなる直列ユニットを少なくとも一つ有する第1組電池と、
前記車体に設置され、前記直列ユニットを少なくとも一つ有する第2組電池と、
前記車体に設置され、前記第1組電池及び前記第2組電池から電力を供給される負荷装置と、
前記第1組電池と前記負荷装置との間に電気的に接続されるとともに、前記第1組電池と前記負荷装置との間の電力供給経路の接続/遮断を切り替える第1開閉器を有する、第1開閉ユニットと、
前記第2組電池と前記負荷装置との間に電気的に接続されるとともに、前記第2組電池と前記負荷装置との間の電力供給経路の接続/遮断を切り替える第2開閉器を有する、第2開閉ユニットと、を備え、
前記第1開閉ユニット及び前記第2開閉ユニットは、前記車体に設置され、
前記第1開閉ユニットは、前記第1組電池と前記負荷装置側とを接続する前記電力供給経路と、前記電力供給経路において前記第1開閉器よりも前記負荷装置側から分岐して、前記電力供給経路と、ユニット外部へ接続可能な接続端子と、を接続する分岐経路と、を備え、
前記第2開閉ユニットの出力端子は、前記第1開閉ユニットの前記接続端子に接続配線を介して接続されることで、前記第1組電池が有する少なくとも一つの前記直列ユニット、及び、前記第2組電池が有する少なくとも一つの前記直列ユニットが並列接続されること
