Description
電気動力装置用ラジエーター2と燃料電池スタック用ラジエーター3は、別個の冷却水循環ラインを有して、冷却水を電気動力装置と燃料電池スタックのそれぞれに供給して電気動力装置と燃料電池スタック用ラジエーター3を冷却し、再び電気動力装置用ラジエーター2と燃料電池スタック用ラジエーター3に戻す循環をしている。
高温領域と低温領域は、統合型ラジエーターの同一面上に配置され、燃料電池スタック用冷却水の一部は、高温領域を通過して冷却された後、燃料電池スタックを冷却させ、燃料電池スタック用冷却水の他の一部は、高温領域と低温領域を順次通過してさらに冷却された後、電気動力装置を冷却させるようにする。
1.スタック、コンデンサ、電気動力装置をそれぞれ個別に冷却するのではなく、1つの統合型ラジエーターに流れる冷却水を用いて、燃料電池スタックと電気動力装置を同時に統合して熱管理することにより、統合型ラジエーターの放熱性能を向上させることができる。
6.従来の電気動力装置用ラジエーターとコンデンサをなくすことにより、走行時の車両前面のグリルから流入する空気の流動抵抗が減って、ファンモータの容量を小さくすることができる。
図4は、本発明の一実施形態によるラジエーター型燃料電池車両用冷却装置の斜視図であり、図5は、図4の構成要素を説明する概略図である。
本発明は、燃料電池車両用冷却装置に関するものであり、従来のコンデンサと電気動力装置用ラジエーターによる前面からの風の流入の妨げをなくし、車両前方からの空気のラジエーター通過風量を増やした燃料電池車両用冷却装置に関するものである。
冷却ファン11は、外部空気が車両前方のラジエーターグリルを介して車両内部に流入するように誘導している。
この時、板状熱交換器13の内部で、燃料電池スタック用冷却水と電気動力装置用冷却水が混合しないようにする。
統合型ラジエーター10は、車体の長手方向に対して車体の幅方向の同一面上に冷却水の流動形態に応じて分けられる高温領域と低温領域を有している。
高温領域は、下方向(DOWN)の冷却水流路を有し、このような冷却水流路の構造により冷却水の流動を上下一直線方向にし、燃料電池スタック16から統合型ラジエーター10に流入した冷却水を外部空気に相対的に短時間晒すことで、多量の冷却水を冷却することができる。
燃料電池スタック16を出た燃料電池スタック用冷却水(例えば、77℃)は、統合型ラジエーター10の冷却水流入管10aを介して統合型ラジエーター10の高温領域に流入する。そして、高温領域に流入した大部分の冷却水は、高温領域の冷却水流路を介して下方向に移動しつつ外部空気と熱交換して冷却され(68℃)、冷却された燃料電池スタック用冷却水は、第1冷却水排出管10bを介して排出され、第1冷却水循環ライン17を介して燃料電池スタック16に供給される。

Claims (6)
- 燃料電池車両の冷却装置であって、
車両の前方に配置され、外部空気を用いて熱交換する方式で冷却水を冷却して燃料電池スタック(16)と電気動力装置(14)を統合管理する統合型ラジエーター(10)を有して構成され、
前記統合型ラジエーター(10)は、冷却水の流動形態に応じて高温領域と低温領域とに分けられ、
前記高温領域を介して流れた冷却水により前記燃料電池スタック(16)を冷却し、
前記低温領域を介して流れた冷却水と、電気動力装置用冷却水と、を熱交換する熱交換器が更に備えられ、前記低温領域を介して流れた冷却水を用いて前記電気動力装置用冷却水の温度を下げることで前記電気動力装置(14)を冷却することを特徴とする燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
- 前記高温領域と前記低温領域は、前記統合型ラジエーター(10)の同一面上に配置され、前記燃料電池スタック用冷却水の一部は、前記高温領域を通過して冷却された後、前記燃料電池スタック(16)を冷却させ、前記燃料電池スタック用冷却水の他の一部は、前記高温領域と前記低温領域を順次通過してさらに冷却された後、前記電気動力装置(14)を冷却させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
- 前記高温領域は、直下方に流動する冷却水流路を有し、前記燃料電池スタック用冷却水を下方向に流すことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
- 前記低温領域は、上下方向に交互に屈曲形成された冷却水流路を有し、前記高温領域を通過した冷却水の一部をさらに外部空気に晒して冷却することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
- 前記熱交換器は、板状熱交換器(13)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
- 前記統合型ラジエーター(10)の低温領域から排出された燃料電池スタック用冷却水は、前記板状熱交換器(13)を通過し、水冷式コンデンサを冷却した後、前記高温領域から排出された前記燃料電池スタック用冷却水に合わせられることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の燃料電池車両用冷却装置。
