Description
本発明の粘着剤組成物は、硬化状態でIPN構造を具現する。本明細書において使用する用語「粘着剤組成物の硬化状態」は、放射線の照射及び/または加熱工程などを経て本発明の組成物が粘着剤の形態で製造された状態を意味する。また、用語「放射線」は、粘着剤組成物に含まれた重合性基または重合開始剤などに影響を及ぼし、硬化反応を誘発することができるエネルギー線を意味し、電子線及び紫外線などを含む概念である。また、用語「IPN構造」は、粘着剤内でアクリル系樹脂及び架橋剤成分の反応によって形成された架橋構造(以下、「第1架橋構造」)とともに、別途の架橋構造(以下、「第2架橋構造」)が同時に存在する場合を意味する。このように、粘着剤にIPN構造を具現することによって、光漏れ抑制特性及び耐久信頼性のような、光学部材用粘着剤に要求される諸物性のバランスを優秀に維持することができる。

以下、本発明による実施例及び比較例により本発明をさらに詳しく説明するが、本発明の範囲が下記の提示された実施例によって制限されるものではない。
アクリル系共重合体の製造
窒素ガスを還流する装置及び温度調節を容易にする冷却装置を備えた1L反応器にn−ブチルアクリレート(n−BA)99重量部及びヒドロキシエチルアクリレート(HEA)1.0重量部を入れた。次に、溶剤としてエチルアセテート(EAc)120重量部を入れ、酸素を除去するために窒素ガスを60分間パージング(purging)した。その後、反応器の温度を60℃に維持し、反応開始剤としてアゾビスイソブチロニトリル(AIBN)0.03重量部を投入した後、8時間反応させて、重量平均分子量が170万であり、分子量分布(Mw/Mn)が3.4であるアクリル系樹脂を製造した。
上記製造されたアクリル系樹脂100重量部に対して、トリス(アクリロキシエチル)イソシアヌレート(分子量:423、3官能型、aronix M−315)15重量部、光重合開始剤としてベンゾフェノンと1−ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトンの混合物(重量比=1:1)1.5重量部、架橋剤としてヘキサメチレンジイソシアネート(HDI)系2官能性架橋剤0.5重量部及びシラン系カップリング剤0.2重量部を混合し、粘着剤組成物を製造した。
上記製造された粘着剤組成物を剥離シートで離型処理された厚さ38μmのPETフィルム(三菱社製、MRF−38)上に乾燥後の厚さが25μmとなるようにコーティングし、110℃のオーブンで3分間乾燥させた。次に、乾燥したコーティング層を約24時間恒温恒湿室(23℃、55%RH)で保管した後、片面にWV(Wide View)液晶層がコーティングされた偏光板のWVコーティング層に上記粘着剤層をラミネーション処理した。次に、下記条件で紫外線の照射処理を行い、粘着偏光板を製造した。
紫外線照射器:高圧水銀ランプ
照射条件:照度=600mW/cm2、光量=150mJ/cm2
粘着剤組成物の組成を下記表1に示されたように変更したことを除いて、実施例1と同様の方式で粘着偏光板を製造した。
実施例及び比較例で製造された粘着偏光板を25mm×100mmのサイズに切断したサンプルを製造し、剥離シートを除去した後、無アルカリガラスにラミネータを利用して付着させた。次に、オートクレーブ(50℃、5気圧)で約20分間圧着処理し、恒温恒湿条件(23℃、50%RH)で4時間保管した。その後、物性測定器(Texture analyzer、 英国ステイブルマイクロシステム)を使用して、300mm/minの剥離速度及び180度の剥離角度の条件で粘着力を測定した。粘着力の測定は、常温で付着後、1日、2日、3日、4日及び7日経過後の粘着力(常温粘着力);及び付着後に50℃の温度で4時間放置した後、常温で1日、2日、3日、4日及び7日経過後の粘着力(加温粘着力)を各々測定した。
製造された粘着偏光板を262mm×465mm(横×縦)のサイズに切断してサンプルを製造した後、これをガラス基板(300mm×470mm×0.7mm=横×縦×高さ)の両面に光学吸収軸がクロスされた状態で付着させて試験片を製造した。付着時に加えられた圧力は、約5kg/cm2であり、気泡または異物を防ぐためにクリーンルームで作業を行った。製造された試験片の耐湿熱特性を把握するために、上記試験片を60℃の温度及び90%の相対湿度条件で250時間放置した後、気泡や剥離の発生の有無を観察した(耐湿熱条件)。また、耐熱特性は、試験片を80℃の温度で250時間放置した後、同様に気泡や剥離の発生の有無を観察した(耐熱条件)。この時、試験片の状態を評価する直前に、これを常温で24時間放置した後に実施した。評価基準は、下記の通りである。
○:気泡や剥離現象なし
×:気泡や剥離現象あり
実施例及び比較例で製造された粘着偏光板を17”のパネルに適用し、光透過均一性を評価した。具体的には、上記パネルに適用時に4辺の角部から測定し、光漏出領域が2cm未満のものは○で、2cmを超過するものは×で評価した。
Claims (24)
- 硬化状態で相互貫入ネットワーク構造を含み、
下記一般式2の条件を満足し、

[上記一般式2で、X2は、粘着剤組成物から製造された粘着剤を被着体に付着させ、50℃の温度で約4時間放置した後、常温で168時間放置した後に測定した剥離強度を示す]
アクリル系樹脂、架橋剤成分、多官能性アクリレート、及び重合開始剤を含み、
前記架橋剤成分が2官能性架橋剤よりなり、
前記2官能性架橋剤が、イソシアネート化合物、エポキシ化合物、アジリジン化合物、メラミン化合物、尿素化合物、ジアルデヒド系化合物、メチロール高分子化合物、金属アルコキシド、金属塩及び金属キレート化合物よりなる群から選択される少なくとも1つであり、
前記多官能性アクリレートが、アクリル系樹脂100重量部に対して、5重量部〜40重量部の量で含まれる、粘着剤組成物。 - 下記一般式1の条件を満足する、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物:

上記一般式1で、X1は、前記粘着剤組成物から製造された粘着剤を被着体に付着し、常温で168時間放置した後に測定した剥離強度を示す。 - X1が638g/25mm以下である、請求項2に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- X2が1,162g/25mm以下である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- アクリル系樹脂は、重量平均分子量が30万以上である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- アクリル系樹脂は(メタ)アクリル酸エステル系単量体80重量部〜99.9重量部及び架橋性単量体0.1重量部〜20重量部を含む単量体混合物の重合体である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- イソシアネート化合物が芳香族ポリイソシアネート、脂肪族ポリイソシアネート、脂環式ポリイソシアネート及びポリイソシアネート2官能性付加物よりなる群から選択された1つ以上である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- ポリイソシアネート2官能性付加物は、ポリイソシアネート化合物とジオール化合物の反応物である、請求項7に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- エポキシ化合物がレゾルシノールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、1,6−ヘキサンジオールジグリシジルエーテル、水素化ビスフェノールAジグリシジルエーテル、ポリエチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル及びポリプロピレングリコールジグリシジルエーテルよりなる群から選択された1つ以上である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 架橋剤成分は、アクリル系樹脂100重量部に対して0.01重量部〜10重量部で含まれる、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 界面活性剤または可塑剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 界面活性剤がポリアルキレンオキシド−変性ポリジメチルシロキサンである、請求項11に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 可塑剤は、1つ以上のエーテル結合を有するエステル系化合物である、請求項11に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 界面活性剤または可塑剤は、アクリル系樹脂100重量部に対して0.0001重量部〜10重量部で含まれる、請求項11に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 前記相互貫入ネットワーク構造が、前記アクリル系樹脂と前記架橋剤成分との反応により形成される第1架橋構造、及び前記多官能性アクリレートと前記重合開始剤との反応により形成される第2架橋構造を含む、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 多官能性アクリレートは、2官能型、3官能型、4官能型、5官能型または6官能型である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 多官能性アクリレートが、1,000未満の分子量を有する3官能性以上のアクリレートである、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 多官能性アクリレートが、骨格構造中に環状構造を含む、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 重合開始剤は、熱開始剤及び光開始剤よりなる群から選択された1つ以上である、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 重合開始剤は、アクリル系樹脂100重量部に対して、0.2重量部〜20重量部の量で含まれる、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物。
- 偏光フィルムまたは偏光素子と;上記偏光フィルムまたは偏光素子の一面または両面に形成され、請求項1に記載の粘着剤組成物の硬化物を含有する粘着剤層と;を含む偏光板。
- 請求項23に記載の偏光板が液晶セルの一面または両面に接合されている液晶パネルを含む液晶表示装置。
