Claims (6)
- 燃焼室の内部に燃料を噴射する筒内燃料噴射弁と、
機関排気通路に配置されている排気浄化触媒と、
排気浄化触媒よりも上流側の機関排気通路に空気を供給する二次空気供給装置と、
排気浄化触媒の温度が連動する部分の温度である関連温度を取得する関連温度取得手段とを備え、
排気浄化触媒の温度上昇を促進する第1の触媒暖機制御および第2の触媒暖機制御を実施するように形成されており、
第1の触媒暖機制御は、圧縮行程において筒内燃料噴射弁から燃料を噴射して点火装置の周りの燃料濃度を上昇させる制御と、点火時期を遅角して燃焼室から流出する排気ガスの温度を上昇させる制御とを含み、
第2の触媒暖機制御は、機関排気通路に空気を供給して排気ガスに含まれる成分を酸化させて排気ガスの温度を上昇させる制御を含み、
第1の触媒暖機制御が実施される関連温度の第1の温度範囲と、第2の触媒暖機制御が実施される関連温度の第2の温度範囲とが予め定められており、
第2の温度範囲が第1の温度範囲の内部に含まれるように設定され、第1の触媒暖機制御の実施範囲が第2の触媒暖機制御の実施範囲よりも広く設定されており、
第1の温度範囲の上限は第2の温度範囲の上限よりも高く設定されていることを特徴とする、内燃機関。 - 内燃機関の運転期間中に燃焼室における燃料の燃焼を一時的に停止する間欠運転制御を行うように形成されており、
間欠運転制御により燃焼室における燃焼を停止した後に再始動する場合に、関連温度が第1の温度範囲の上限よりも低い時に、第2の触媒暖機制御を実施せずに第1の触媒暖機制御を実施する、請求項1に記載の内燃機関。 - 間欠運転が実施される関連温度の下限が予め設定されており、
間欠運転制御が実施される関連温度の下限は、第2の温度範囲の上限よりも高く設定されている、請求項2に記載の内燃機関。 - 関連温度は、機関冷却水の温度であり、
関連温度取得手段は、機関冷却水の温度を検出する温度検出器を含み、
第1の温度範囲の下限は第2の温度範囲の下限よりも低く設定されている、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関。 - 排気浄化触媒の温度を取得する触媒温度取得手段を備え、
排気浄化触媒が活性化する活性化温度が予め設定されており、
排気浄化触媒が活性化温度以上の場合には、第1の触媒暖機制御および第2の触媒暖機制御を禁止する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関。 - 排気浄化触媒の温度を取得する触媒温度取得手段を備え、
排気浄化触媒が活性化する活性化温度と、活性化温度よりも低く予め定められた浄化率を達成できる半活性化温度とが予め設定されており、
関連温度が第1の温度範囲内であり、排気浄化触媒の温度が活性化温度未満かつ半活性化温度以上の場合には、第2の触媒暖機制御を実施せずに第1の触媒暖機制御を実施する、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の内燃機関。
