図1は、本発明の実施の形態による電動車両の代表例として示されるハイブリッド車両の構成例を説明するためのブロック図である。

図7に示すように、連続昇圧モードにおいてリアクトル電流IL2は一定であるので、リアクトル電流IL2は正確に計測することができる。そのため、連続昇圧モードにおける計測を基準として、間欠昇圧モードにおける電池電流IBの計測では誤差が最大でどれだけ生じ得るかを説明する。
間欠昇圧モードにおいて、リアクトル電流IL1は時間的に変化し、リアクトル電流IL2を基準として最大で(IL1max−IL2)だけ増加する(図7参照)。
バッテリ150から供給される電荷量(単位:Ah)は、計測された電池電流IB(単位:A)を間欠昇圧モードの期間(単位:h)積算することにより得られる。この電荷量が最大となるのは、電池電流IBを計測するタイミングの各々が、リアクトル電流IL1が最大値IL1maxとなるタイミングと一致していた場合である。したがって、電荷量の最大値は、(IL1max−IL2)×Δtと表される(図7に面積Q0で示す)。ただし、Δtは、間欠昇圧モードにおいて、リアクトル電流ILの平均値ILMがしきい値TH2を超えるまでの期間(図7の(1)の時点と(4)の時点との間の期間)である。

ただし、C0はバッテリ150の容量C0(単位:Ah)である。つまり、(IL1max−IL2)×Δtを容量C0で徐算することにより、電荷量をSOCに換算している。
間欠昇圧モードでのコンバータ200の動作を抑制する方法は、実施の形態1で説明した方法に限定されるものではない。実施の形態2では、電池電流IBの計測精度を向上することによって、間欠昇圧モードでの動作を抑制する。
実施の形態2の変形例において、制御装置500は、リアクトル電流ILを所定値以下に制限する。言い換えると、制御装置500は、間欠昇圧モードでのコンバータ200の通過電流を所定値以下に制限することにより、コンバータ200の動作を抑制する。

- 発電ユニットと、
蓄電装置と、
前記蓄電装置の電圧を昇圧して車両の電気負荷に供給する昇圧コンバータと、
前記昇圧コンバータを連続的に作動させる連続昇圧モードと、前記昇圧コンバータを間欠的に作動させる間欠昇圧モードとで前記昇圧コンバータを制御する制御装置とを備え、
前記制御装置は、前記蓄電装置に出入りする電流に基づいて前記蓄電装置の充電状態を推定し、前記充電状態の推定値が所定の下限値よりも小さくなると、前記発電ユニットによって前記蓄電装置を強制的に充電し、
前記制御装置は、前記推定値が、前記下限値よりも大きい所定のしきい値以下である場合に、前記間欠昇圧モードでの前記昇圧コンバータの動作を抑制する、車両の電源装置。 - 前記しきい値は、前記間欠昇圧モードでの前記昇圧コンバータの前記動作によって生じ得る前記推定値の誤差の最大値だけ、前記下限値よりも大きく決定される、請求項1に記載の車両の電源装置。
