Claims (6)
- 汚れに強い表面を有するガラス製品の製造方法であって、
(a)目標表面を有するガラス製品を提供し、
(b)本質的に、フルオロシラン化合物および該フルオロシラン化合物に混和性を有する溶媒からなるコーティング溶液を提供し、
(c)前記目標表面上にフルオロシラン化合物の単層からなるコーティング層を形成するようにスプレーコーティングを制御しつつ、前記コーティング溶液を霧化して前記ガラス製品の目標表面に前記霧化されたコーティング溶液でスプレーコーティングする各ステップを有してなり、
前記コーティング溶液は、該コーティング溶液に10psi(約68950Pa)から70psi(約482700Pa)の範囲の圧力でガスを注入することにより霧化され、前記コーティング溶液は、マイクロメータの設定値が0.004インチ(約0.01016cm)から0.008インチ(約0.02032cm)の範囲においてスプレーされ、前記コーティング溶液は、液圧が0.5psi(約3448Pa)から5psi(約34480Pa)の範囲においてスプレーされ、前記コーティング溶液はノズルからスプレーされ、該ノズルの出口から前記目標表面までの距離が0.5インチ(約1.27cm)から8インチ(20.32cm)の範囲にあり、前記ノズルのパス幅が0.5インチ(約1.27cm)から3インチ(約7.62cm)の範囲にあることを特徴とするガラス製品の製造方法。 - ステップ(a)で提供される前記ガラス製品の目標表面が、裸のままか、または反射防止材料でコーティングされていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記目標表面上のコーティング層が、脱イオン水と100度より大きい接触角度、およびオレイン酸と70度より大きい接触角度を示すことを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の方法。
- 前記脱イオン水の接触角度および前記オレイン酸の接触角度の各々が、10,000回拭いた後でも5%を超えて変化しないことを特徴とする請求項3記載の方法。
- ステップ(c)において、前記コーティング溶液は0.861から8.61μl/cm2の流量でスプレーされることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- ステップ(b)において、前記フルオロシラン化合物はアルコキシシリルパーフルオロポリエーテル付加物であり、前記フルオロシラン化合物と混和性を有する溶媒はノナフルオロブチルエーテル溶媒であることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
