Description
(a)MgCl2に担持させたTi化合物及び内部供与体化合物を含む固体成分;
(b)アルキルアルミニウム助触媒;及び
(c)外部供与体として、式(I):
を含む。
13 CNMR分析
13CNMRスペクトルを120℃の二重水素化1,1,2,2−テトラクロロ−エタン中のポリマー溶液(8〜12重量%)について測定した。90°パルス、パルス間15秒遅延及び1H−13Cカップリングを除去するためにCPD(WALTZ65_64pl)を使用して120℃においてフーリエ変換モードの100.61MHzで操作するBruker DPX−400スペクトロメーターを用いて13CNMRスペクトルを得た。60ppm(0−60ppm)のスペクトルウインドウを使用して32Kデータ点において約1500〜2000トランジエントを貯蔵した。
ジアド分布([P]=[PP]+0.5[PB])からプロピレン含量を得た。式中、PP=A/Σ、BP=B/Σ、BB=C/Σとして計算する。ここで、A、B、Cは、13CNMRスペクトル中の関連ピーク領域の積分であり(アイソタクチックBBBBBペンタドの分枝中のCH2炭素による27.73ppmにおけるピークを内部標準として使用する)、Σ=A+B+Cである。スペクトル領域の割り当ては、H.N.Cheng,Journal of Polymer Science,Polymer Physics Edition,21,573(1983)にしたがって行い、表Aに報告する。
分枝メチレン炭素領域中のペンタド信号の割り当てを、Carbon−13 NMRSpectral Assignment of Five Polyolefins Determined from the Chemical Shift Calculation and the Polymerization Mechanism,T.Asakura and others,Macromolecules 1991,24 2334−2340にしたがって行った。表1で報告するmmmm%は、100(Immmm)/(Itot)として計算される。
ブテンホモポリマー類又はブテン/プロピレンコポリマー類のいずれか中の4,1ブテン単位の欠如を、V.Busico,R.Cipullo,A.Borriello,Macromol.Rapid.Commun.16,269,(1995)にしたがう割り当て、−CH(CH2CH3)−(CH2)5−CH(CH2CH3)−シーケンス中のCH炭素による37.3ppmのピークを探す上述実験条件を使用して13C−NMR分光学により証明した。
総ての試料について分子量パラメーター及び分子量分布を、Waters GPCV 2000装置を使用して測定した。当該装置は,4本のPLgel Olexis混合ゲル(Polymer Laboratories)カラムセット及びIR4赤外検出器(PolymerChar)を備えた。カラムの寸法は300×7.5mmであり、粒径は13μmだった。使用した移動相は1−2−4−トリクロロベンゼン(TCB)であり、流速は1.0mL/分に維持した。総ての測定を150℃で行った。TCB中の溶液濃度は0.1g/dLであり、分解を防止するために0.1g/Lの2,6−ジ−tert−ブチル−p−クレゾールを添加した。GPC算出について、Polymer Labratoriesにより供給された10ポリスチレン(PS)標準品(580〜8500000範囲のピーク分子量)を使用して,万能補正曲線を得た。実験データを補間し、関連較正曲線を得るために三次多項適合度を使用した。データ収集及びプロセシングをEmpower(Waters)を使用して行った。Mark−Houwink関係を使用して分子量分布及び関連平均分子量を決定した:K値は、PS及びPBそれぞれについてKPS=1.21×10−4dL/g及びKPB=1.78×10−4dL/gであり、一方、Mark−Houwink指数はPSについてα=0.706及びPBについてα=0.725を使用した。
ポリマーの融点(Tm)及び溶融エンタルピー(ΔHm)を、標準法にしたがって、Perkin Elmer DSC−7示差走査熱量計(D.S.C.)により測定した。重合より得られ、秤量した試料(5〜7mg)をアルミニウムパン中に密閉し、10℃/分の昇温速度で180℃に加熱した。5分間試料を180℃に維持し、結晶の総てを完全に溶融させ、次いで、10℃/分の降温速度で20℃に冷却した。20℃に2分間放置した後、試料を10℃/分の昇温速度で180℃に2度目の加熱をした。試料の低結晶性のため、表4で報告する値は第1加熱走査の曲線であり;溶融温度(Tm)はピークの温度より得、溶融エンタルピー(ΔH)はピークの面積より測定した。
0℃におけるキシレン不溶性画分(X.I.%)を決定するために、2.5gのポリマーを135℃のキシレン250ml中に撹拌下溶解させ、20分後、溶液を0℃に冷却する。30分後、沈殿したポリマーを濾過し、減圧下80℃で恒量に達するまで乾燥した。
135℃のテトラヒドロナフタリン中で決定した(ASTM2857−70)
物理的機械的試験のための試料調製
重合後、ポリマーを乾燥させ、次いで、0.1%Irganox B215抗酸化剤をミキサー中に加えて安定化させた。冷却後、数個のプラークを200℃の圧縮成形により調製し、冷却後、プラークを2000バールのオートクレーブ中で10分間処理し、次いで、24時間熟成後特性化した。
2mm厚さプラークを使用し、ISO2285(方法A)にしたがった。
引張曲線
2mm厚さプラークを使用し、ISO527−2にしたがった。特に、標本タイプ5Aを使用し、500mm/分の速度を適用した。
4mm厚さプラークを使用し、ASTM D224にしたがって測定を行った。
固体触媒成分の製造
窒素でパージした500ml四つ口丸底フラスコ中に、225mlのTiCl4を0℃で導入した。撹拌しながら、6.8gの微小球MgCl2・2.7C2H5OH(米国特許第4,399,054号明細書の実施例2に記載の通りに製造したが、10,000rpmの代わりに3,000rpmで操作した)を加えた。
4リットルのステンレス鋼製オートクレーブを1時間70℃の窒素流でパージし、3.5ミリモルのAliBu3(TiBA,ヘキサン中10重量%溶液)を供給し、次いで、オートクレーブを閉じた。室温で、1.35Kgの液状ブテン−1を供給し、必要のとき、所望量の水素(表1参照)をオートクレーブ中に供給した。最後に,内部温度を74℃に上昇させた。

Claims (5)
- 1−ブテンホモポリマー類又は1−ブテン/アルファオレフィンコポリマー類の製造法であり、ここで、アルファオレフィン類は、エチレン、プロピレン若しくは式CH2=CHZ(式中、ZはC3−C20アルキル基である)のアルファオレフィンから選択し、1−ブテン及び場合により1種以上のアルファオレフィンを、触媒系の存在下、重合条件下で接触させることを含み、前記触媒系は、
(a)MgCl2に担持させたTi化合物及び内部供与体化合物を含む固体成分;
(b)アルキルアルミニウム助触媒;及び
(c)外部供与体として、式(Ib):
を含む、前記1−ブテンホモポリマー類又は1−ブテン/アルファオレフィンコポリマー類の製造法。 - 前記内部供与体が、モノカルボン酸の、又はポリカルボン酸のアルキルエステル、シクロアルキルエステル若しくはアリールエステルから選択され、前記アルキル、シクロアルキル若しくはアリール基は1〜18個の炭素原子を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 内部供与体がフタル酸のC1−C20アルキルエステルであり、フタル酸は置換できる、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 外部電子供与体化合物(C)を、2より高い、前記有機アルミニウム化合物及び前記電子供与体化合物間のモル比(Al/ED)を与えるような量で供給する、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記有機アルミニウム化合物及び前記電子供与体化合物C間のモル比(Al/ED)が4〜1000である、請求項4に記載の方法。
