この数式(2)において、CaはディンプルAの曲率半径であり、CbはディンプルBの曲率半径であり、CcはディンプルCの曲率半径であり、CdはディンプルDの曲率半径であり、CeはディンプルEの曲率半径である。Caは、無作為にサンプリングされた複数個のディンプルAの直径Dm及び深さDpが測定されることで、上記数式(1)に基づいて算出される。Cbは、無作為にサンプリングされた複数個のディンプルBの直径Dm及び深さDpが測定されることで、上記数式(1)に基づいて算出される。Ccは、無作為にサンプリングされた複数個のディンプルCの直径Dm及び深さDpが測定されることで、上記数式(1)に基づいて算出される。Cdは無作為にサンプリングされた複数個のディンプルDの直径Dm及び深さDpが測定されることで、上記数式(1)に基づいて算出される。Ceは、無作為にサンプリングされた複数個のディンプルEの直径Dm及び深さDpが測定されることで、上記数式(1)に基づいて算出される。ディンプル種類ごとの好ましいサンプリング数は、4以上6以下である。

図2及び3に示されたゴルフボール2では、ディンプルAの面積は15.90mm2であり、ディンプルBの面積は15.21mm2であり、ディンプルCの面積は14.52mm2であり、ディンプルDの面積は13.20mm2であり、ディンプルEの面積は10.18mm2である。
[実施例1]
100質量部のハイシスポリブタジエン(JSR社の商品名「BR−730」)、39質量部のアクリル酸亜鉛、5質量部の酸化亜鉛、適量の硫酸バリウム、0.5質量部のジフェニルジスルフィド及び0.9質量部のジクミルパーオキサイド(日本油脂社)を混練し、ゴム組成物(a)を得た。このゴム組成物(a)を共に半球状キャビティを備えた上型及び下型からなる金型に投入し、170℃で18分間加熱して、直径が39.75mであるコアを得た。質量が45.6gであるゴルフボールが得られるよう、硫酸バリウムの量が調整された。
ゴルフボールの構造及びディンプルの仕様を変更した他は実施例1と同様にして、実施例2から7及び比較例1から5のゴルフボールを得た。コアの仕様の詳細が、下記表1に示されている。中間層及びカバーの仕様の詳細が、下記表2に示されている。ディンプルの仕様の詳細が、下記の表4から6に示されている。
ツルテンパー社のスイングマシンに、チタンヘッドを備えたドライバー(SRIスポーツ社の商品名「Z−TX」、シャフト硬度:X、ロフト角:8.5°)を装着した。ヘッド速度が50m/secである条件でゴルフボールを打撃して、発射地点から静止地点までの距離を測定した。テスト時は、ほぼ無風であった。10回の測定で得られたデータの平均値が、下記の表7及び8に示されている。

Claims (6)
- その表面に、互いに直径が異なる複数種類のディンプルを備えており、全てのディンプルの面積の合計値の、その表面積に対する比率が、81.8%以上95%以下であるゴルフボールであって、
全てのディンプルの断面の曲率半径の標準偏差が、0.90mm以下であり、
全てのディンプルの断面の曲率半径の平均値が、上記ゴルフボールの直径の20%以上40%以下であるゴルフボール。 - 全てのディンプルの断面の曲率半径の平均値が、その直径の20%以上35%以下である請求項1に記載のゴルフボール。
- 全てのディンプルの容積の合計値が300mm3以上370mm3以下である請求項1又は2に記載のゴルフボール。
- 上記合計値が310mm3以上360mm3以下である請求項3に記載のゴルフボール。
- 全てのディンプルの直径の平均値が3.5mm以上4.5mm以下である請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のゴルフボール。
- コアとカバーとを備えており、このカバーが樹脂組成物からなり、この樹脂組成物の基材樹脂がポリウレタンである請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のゴルフボール。
