Description
以下、本実施形態の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子について図1〜図5に基づいて説明する。
本実施形態の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子は、実施形態1と略同じであり、図6に示すように、凹部38の形状が相違するだけである。なお、実施形態1と同様の構成要素には同一の符号を付して説明を適宜省略する。
Claims (5)
- 基板と、前記基板の一表面側に設けられた第1電極と、前記基板の前記一表面側で前記第1電極に対向した第2電極と、前記第1電極と前記第2電極との間にあり発光層を含む機能層とを備えた有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子であって、
前記第1電極および前記第2電極それぞれの抵抗率が、透明導電性酸化物の抵抗率よりも低く、
前記機能層が、前記発光層よりも前記第2電極側にある最表層としてキャリア注入層を含み、
前記第2電極には、前記機能層からの光取出し用の開口部が形成され、前記開口部には、前記第2電極と前記機能層とに接し且つ光透過性を有する導電性層が設けられ、
前記導電性層が、前記第2電極を覆い、
前記キャリア注入層は、前記開口部の投影領域に凹部が設けられてなることを特徴とする有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。 - 前記凹部は、前記キャリア注入層の厚み方向において前記第2電極から離れるにつれて、前記第2電極の投影領域から前記投影領域に近い内側面までの距離が長くなる形状に形成されてなることを特徴とする請求項1記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記第2電極は、金属の粉末と有機バインダとを含む電極からなることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記導電性層は、導電性ナノ構造体と透明媒体とを含む透明導電膜、あるいは、前記機能層からの光を透過可能な厚みの金属薄膜からなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
- 前記キャリア注入層は、前記開口部の投影領域の厚みが、前記第2電極の投影領域の厚みよりも、薄いことを特徴とする請求項1記載の有機エレクトロルミネッセンス素子。
