Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に設けられ、排ガスの空燃比を検出する空燃比センサと、
当該空燃比センサの出力値に応じて制御入力を算出する制御入力算出手段と、
当該算出された制御入力を用いて、前記空燃比センサの前記出力値を所定の目標値になるようにフィードバック制御する空燃比制御手段と、
前記出力値が前記目標値よりもリーン側にあり、かつ、前記出力値が、前記空燃比センサの出力の飽和により前記空燃比センサの出力値が低下し始める値に相当する第1所定値よりもリッチ側にあるときに、前記制御入力の算出に用いられるゲインを前記出力値に応じて算出するゲイン算出手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の空燃比制御装置。 - 前記ゲイン算出手段は、前記空燃比センサの前記出力値が前記第1所定値よりもリッチ側にあり、かつ、前記空燃比センサの出力の飽和時における出力値と前記空燃比センサの正常時における出力値との差が拡大し始める値に相当する第2所定値よりもリーン側にあるときに、前記出力値がリッチ側にあるほど、前記ゲインをより小さな値に算出し、前記出力値が前記第2所定値と等しいか、または当該第2所定値よりもリッチ側にあるときに、前記ゲインを値0に設定することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御装置。
- 前記制御入力は積分項を含み、前記ゲインは、当該積分項の算出に用いられることを特徴とする、請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御装置。
- 前記空燃比センサは、前記内燃機関から排出された排ガスを浄化する触媒の下流側に設けられており、
当該触媒の上流側に設けられ、排ガスの空燃比を検出するとともに、排ガスの空燃比に応じてリニアに変化する出力特性を有する上流側空燃比センサをさらに備え、
前記空燃比制御手段は、前記空燃比センサの前記出力値が前記目標値になるように、スライディングモード制御により、前記制御入力として目標空燃比を算出するとともに、
前記上流側空燃比センサにより検出された排ガスの空燃比が前記目標空燃比になるように、内燃機関に供給される燃料量を制御し、
前記制御入力は、前記ゲインを用いて算出される適応則入力を含むこと特徴とする、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の内燃機関の空燃比制御装置。
