Claims (9)
- 電解質チャンバを構成する手段と、前記電解質チャンバの各側に1つずつ設けられた2つの電極とを有する液体電解質型燃料電池であって、各電極は、多数の貫通細孔が形成された導電性材料のシートから成り、前記シートは、貫通細孔が設けられていない辺縁部を有し、各電極は、前記電極の触媒担持面を構成する触媒材料の被膜を更に有し、前記被膜はカーボン及び結合剤を含み、前記燃料電池の使用中、液体電解質が前記電極の一方の面に存在し、且つ気体が前記電極の他方の面に存在し、気体と液体電解質との界面が、前記触媒の付近の実質的に一定の位置にあり、前記電極は、前記電解質チャンバ構成手段から取り外し可能である、燃料電池。
- 前記触媒表面を覆う透過性ポリマー材料の層を更に有する、請求項1記載の燃料電池。
- 前記貫通細孔は、エッチングされ又は穴あけされた穴によって構成されている、請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池。
- 前記導電性シートは、0.1mm〜3mmの厚さのものであり、前記穴は、5μm〜500μmの幅のものである、請求項3記載の燃料電池。
- 前記導電性シートは、金属で形成されている、請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池。
- 前記金属は、ニッケル又はステンレス鋼である、請求項5記載の燃料電池。
- 前記金属シートの前記表面は、保護導電性被膜を備えている、請求項5又は6記載の燃料電池。
- 前記導電性シートは、クロムとマンガンの両方を含むフェライト系ステンレス鋼のものであり、前記導電性シートは、クロムマンガン酸化物スピネルから成る表面を備えている、請求項7記載の燃料電池。
- 請求項1〜8うちいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池を複数個含む燃料電池スタック。
