Description
ベース板31は薄い平板状であって、例えば、アクリル系の樹脂板、ポリカーボネート板等の樹脂板、或いは金属板を使用する点は従来と同様である。また、第1光導波路材料32としては、典型的には、紫外線硬化型エポキシ系樹脂材料、或いはアクリル系、フッ素ポリイミド系、シリコーン系等の紫外線硬化型のその他の材料を使用できる点も従来と同様である。

Claims (5)
- ベース板と紫外線硬化型の樹脂材料とを1対のフィルム間に挟み、該1対のフィルム間を減圧又はフィルムに外圧を適用して、前記樹脂材料を前記ベース板に積層すると同時に、紫外線を前記フィルムを介して前記樹脂材料に照射し、該樹脂材料を硬化することを特徴とする紫外線硬化型樹脂材料の積層方法。
- ベース板と紫外線硬化型の樹脂材料からなる第1光導波路材料とを1対のフィルム間に挟む工程と、
該1対のフィルム間に減圧を適用後、外圧を適用して、前記第1光導波路材料を前記ベース板に積層すると同時に、前記フィルムを介して紫外線を該第1光導波路材料に照射して該第1光導波路材料を硬化させて第1積層体を形成する工程と、
前記第1積層体と紫外線硬化型の樹脂材料からなる第2光導波路材料とを1対のフィルム間に挟む工程と、
該1対のフィルム間に減圧を適用後、外圧を適用して、該第1積層体の第1光導波路材料に第2光導波路材料を積層すると同時に、マスクを介して第2光導波路材料に紫外線を照射して露光・現像によるパターニングを行い第2積層体を形成する工程と、
前記第2積層体と紫外線硬化型の樹脂材料からなる第3光導波路材料とを1対のフィルム間に挟む工程と、
該1対のフィルム間に減圧を適用後、外圧を適用して、該第2積層体の第2光導波路材料に該第3光導波路材料を積層すると同時に、前記フィルムを介して該第3光導波路材料に紫外線を照射して第3光導波路材料を硬化させて第3積層体を形成する工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする紫外線硬化型導波路材料の積層方法。 - 前記第1、第3光導波路材料は同一素材からなり、前記第2光導波路材料と前記第1、第3光導波路材料とは少なくとも屈折率成分が異なることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の紫外線硬化型導波路材料の積層方法。
- ベース板と紫外線硬化型の樹脂材料とを1対のフィルム間に挟み、該1対のフィルム間を減圧又はフィルムに外圧を適用して、前記紫外線硬化型樹脂材料を前記ベース板に積層する装置と、紫外線を前記フィルムを介して前記樹脂材料に照射する照射装置とを具備し、前記積層装置によって積層工程を遂行している間に前記照射装置による紫外線照射を遂行するべく、積層装置の一部を紫外線透過可能な耐圧ガラスで構成したことを特徴とする紫外線硬化型樹脂材料の積層装置。
- 前記紫外線硬化型樹脂材料は、紫外線硬化型樹脂からなる導波路材料であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の積層装置。
