Description
図4に示す補機バッテリ充電装置40は、ハイブリット車や電気自動車などの車両に搭載され、メインバッテリ41と、メインバッテリ41の出力電圧を降圧して、補機バッテリ43を充電するDC/DCコンバータ42とを備える。
補機バッテリ43は、モータ/発電機44の駆動を制御する制御回路やカーナビゲーションシステムなどの電子機器に電力を供給するバッテリであり消費電力が少なくない。そのため、補機バッテリ43の充電に伴うメインバッテリ41の消費電力の増大が懸念される。
また、上記補機バッテリ充電装置は、前記外部発電機に接続される第1のコイルと、前記第1の二次電池に接続される第2のコイルと、前記第2の二次電池に接続される第3のコイルとを備えるトランスと、前記第1のコイルと前記外部発電機との間に設けられる第2のスイッチとを備え、前記制御回路は、前記第1及び第2の二次電池のそれぞれの出力電圧の均等化時、前記第2のスイッチをオン、オフさせて、前記第1〜第3のコイルを互いに電磁結合させるように構成してもよい。
図1に示す補機バッテリ充電装置1は、互いに直列接続される複数の二次電池により構成されるメインバッテリ41と、外部発電機2と、メインバッテリ41の各二次電池のそれぞれの出力電圧を均等化する電池監視セルバランス回路3と、メインバッテリ41の各二次電池のうちの一部の二次電池の出力電圧(基準電圧)を使用して外部発電機2から供給される電力により補機バッテリ43(例えば、鉛蓄電池など)を充電する充電回路4と、電池監視セルバランス回路3や充電回路4の動作を制御するECU(Electronic Control Unit)5(制御回路)とを備える。なお、本実施形態の補機バッテリ充電装置1は、ハイブリット車、電気自動車、又はフォークリフトなどの車両に搭載されるものとする。また、補機バッテリ43の充電に使用される基準電圧は、満充電時の補機バッテリ43の電圧と同じくらいの電圧(例えば、12V)に設定されるものとする。
なお、上記実施形態では、セルバランスを行った後に、補機バッテリ43の充電を行う構成であるが、メインバッテリ41が満充電になったとECU5が判断した後に、補機バッテリ43の充電を行うように構成してもよい。
また、上記実施形態において、電池監視セルバランス回路3は省略してもよい。

Claims (3)
- 互いに直列接続される第1及び第2の二次電池を備えるメインバッテリと、
外部発電機と、
前記外部発電機と補機バッテリとの間に設けられるトランジスタと、
前記第2の二次電池の出力電圧がプラス入力端子に入力され、前記トランジスタにかかる電圧がマイナス入力端子に入力され、出力端子が前記トランジスタの制御入力端子に接続されるオペアンプと、
前記外部発電機と前記トランジスタとの間に設けられる第1のスイッチと、
前記補機バッテリの充電時、前記第1のスイッチをオンさせて前記外部発電機から前記トランジスタを介して前記補機バッテリに電流を流す制御回路と、
を備える補機バッテリ充電装置。 - 請求項1に記載の補機バッテリ充電装置であって、
前記外部発電機に接続される第1のコイルと、前記第1の二次電池に接続される第2のコイルと、前記第2の二次電池に接続される第3のコイルとを備えるトランスと、
前記第1のコイルと前記外部発電機との間に設けられる第2のスイッチと、
を備え、
前記制御回路は、前記第1及び第2の二次電池のそれぞれの出力電圧の均等化時、前記第2のスイッチをオン、オフさせて、前記第1〜第3のコイルを互いに電磁結合させる
ことを特徴とする補機バッテリ充電装置。 - 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の補機バッテリ充電装置であって、
前記制御回路は、前記メインバッテリが使用されていないとき、前記第2のスイッチをオン、オフさせて、前記第1及び第2の二次電池のそれぞれの出力電圧の均等化を行った後、前記第1のスイッチをオンさせて、前記補機バッテリの充電を行う
ことを特徴とする補機バッテリ充電装置。
