Description
すなわち、総EGR量が同じであっても内部EGR量の比率を大きくするほど気筒内の温度は上昇する。そして、筒内温度が上昇すれば着火安定性が向上して燃焼安定性を向上できる。但し、筒内温度が高すぎると排気中にスモークが発生する。一方、仮に、スロットル弁17aの開度や目標噴射量Qfin等のエンジン制御状態が同じであれば、雰囲気圧が低いほど吸入空気の酸素量が低下して筒内温度は低下する。
内部EGR量の比率を高くすれば外部EGR量が少なくなる。すると、タービンホイール19bに供給される駆動源としての排気量は増えるので、過給圧を上昇させて吸入空気の質量流量を増大でき、ひいては吸気中の酸素量を増大できる。この点を鑑みた本実施形態では、雰囲気圧が低いほど内部EGR量の比率を大きくするため、雰囲気圧が低いほど過給圧を上昇させて吸気中の酸素量を増大できるので、燃焼安定性を向上できる。そして、このような作用2による酸素量増大の効果により、図4(c)中のα2に示す分だけ、点線に示す従来制御に比べて総EGR量を増加できる。
上記各実施形態は、以下のように変更して実施してもよい。また、本発明は上記実施形態の記載内容に限定されず、以下の各特徴的構成をそれぞれ任意に組み合わせるようにしてもよい。
Claims (2)
- 排気の一部が排気通路から吸気通路に還流する外部EGR量を調整する外部EGR調整装置と、既燃ガスの一部が気筒内に残留する内部EGR量を調整する内部EGR調整装置と、排気を駆動力として吸気を過給する過給機と、を備える内燃機関に適用され、
前記外部EGR調整装置及び前記内部EGR調整装置の作動を制御することで、前記外部EGR量と前記内部EGR量との比率を制御するEGR外内比率制御手段と、
前記内燃機関の雰囲気圧を取得する雰囲気圧取得手段と、
を備え、
前記内部EGR調整装置は、前記過給機に設けられ排気の流体エネルギを前記駆動力に変換する割合を可変制御する過給圧制御機構を備えて構成され、
前記EGR外内比率制御手段は、取得した前記雰囲気圧が低いほど、前記過給圧制御機構により前記排気の流体エネルギを前記駆動力に変換する割合を大きくさせることで、前記外部EGR量に対する前記内部EGR量の比率を高くすることを特徴とする内燃機関制御装置。 - 請求項1記載の内燃機関制御装置と、
排気通路と吸気通路とを接続するEGR通路を介して排気の一部を気筒に還流させる外部EGR調整装置、既燃ガスの一部を前記気筒内に残留させる内部EGR調整装置、雰囲気圧を検出する雰囲気圧検出センサ、排気を駆動力として吸気を過給する過給機、及び前記過給機に設けられ排気の流体エネルギを前記駆動力に変換する割合を可変制御する過給圧制御機構と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関制御システム。
