Description
前記各回転多面体を駆動制御する回転多面体駆動制御部と、
前記各感光体を、予め定められた標準回転速度と、当該標準速度よりも遅い予め定められた第2回転速度とで駆動する感光体駆動制御部と、
前記各同期センサから出力される水平同期信号を用いて、前記感光体が前記標準速度で回転駆動されるときは前記回転多面体の全反射面に前記レーザ光を照射させる主走査書出基準信号と、前記感光体が前記第2回転速度で回転駆動されるときは当該第2回転速度に応じて定められた反射面数おきに前記レーザ光を照射させる主走査書出基準信号とを、前記各レーザ走査ユニット毎に生成する書出基準信号生成部と、
前記書出基準信号生成部によって生成された各レーザ走査ユニット毎の主走査書出基準信号を用いて、各レーザ走査ユニットでの相対的な画像書き込みタイミングの時間差を計測する時間差計測部と、
前記時間差計測部により計測された前記時間差に基づいて、前記回転多面体駆動制御部が前記各回転多面体に出力する回転多面体駆動用の制御信号の位相を調整する位相調整部と
を備えた画像形成装置である。

Claims (3)
- 感光体と、画像信号に応じたレーザ光を発光する複数のレーザ発光部と、当該各レーザ発光部から発光されるレーザ光を前記感光体の表面に走査させる複数の反射面を有する回転多面体と、当該回転多面体により走査されるレーザ光を受光して画像の書出タイミングを決定するための水平同期信号を発生する同期センサとを有する複数のレーザ走査ユニットと、
前記各回転多面体を駆動制御する回転多面体駆動制御部と、
前記各感光体を、予め定められた標準回転速度と、当該標準速度よりも遅い予め定められた第2回転速度とで駆動する感光体駆動制御部と、
前記各同期センサから出力される水平同期信号を用いて、前記感光体が前記標準速度で回転駆動されるときは前記回転多面体の全反射面に前記レーザ光を照射させる主走査書出基準信号と、前記感光体が前記第2回転速度で回転駆動されるときは当該第2回転速度に応じて定められた反射面数おきに前記レーザ光を照射させる主走査書出基準信号とを、前記各レーザ走査ユニット毎に生成する書出基準信号生成部と、
前記書出基準信号生成部によって生成された各レーザ走査ユニット毎の主走査書出基準信号を用いて、各レーザ走査ユニットでの相対的な画像書き込みタイミングの時間差を計測する時間差計測部と、
前記時間差計測部により計測された前記時間差に基づいて、前記回転多面体駆動制御部が前記各回転多面体に出力する回転多面体駆動用の制御信号の位相を調整する位相調整部と
を備えた画像形成装置。 - 前記書出基準信号生成部は、前記感光体が前記標準速度で回転駆動されるときは、前記各同期センサから出力される水平同期信号自体を、前記回転多面体の全反射面に前記レーザ光を照射させる主走査書出基準信号とし、前記感光体が前記第2回転速度で回転駆動されるときは、前記各同期センサから出力される水平同期信号を、前記レーザ光を照射しない反射面数分だけ間引いて前記第2回転速度に応じた主走査書出基準信号を生成する請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。
- 前記時間差計測部は、前記複数のレーザ走査ユニットのうち、予め定められたレーザ走査ユニットの前記生成された主走査書出基準信号を基準として、前記各レーザ走査ユニットでの相対的な画像書き込みタイミングの時間差を計測する請求項1又は請求項2のいずれかに記載の画像形成装置。
