Description
[第1の実施形態]
Vcc=Ve+Vce+R×Im/2
Ve:トランジスタ21のエミッタ電圧(約0.4V)
Vce:トランジスタ21のコレクタ−エミッタ間電圧(約0.9V)
R:負荷抵抗素子23の抵抗値(50Ω)
[第2の実施形態]
Vs:トランジスタ21のソース電圧
Vth:トランジスタ21のゲート閾値電圧
すなわち、出力コモンモード電圧Vcmoを入力コモンモード電圧Vcmiより閾値電圧Vth分低い電圧まで下げることができる。その結果、差動回路20の電源電圧Vcccを、下記式で示す値まで下げることができる。
Vccc=Vcmi−Vth+R×Im/2
Claims (3)
- 変調信号に応じて半導体レーザに変調電流を供給する差動回路と、
前記差動回路に電源電圧を供給し、当該電源電圧を制御信号に応じて変更する電圧発生回路と、
前記差動回路の差動出力間に直列に接続された2つの抵抗素子を有し、当該2つの抵抗素子の間のノードの電圧を前記差動回路の出力コモンモード電圧として検知する出力検知回路と、
前記出力検知回路によって検知された前記出力コモンモード電圧に応じて前記制御信号を生成する制御回路と、
を備え、
前記制御回路は、前記出力コモンモード電圧が所定の値に維持されるように、前記制御信号を生成する、
ことを特徴とする、半導体レーザ駆動回路。 - 前記差動回路の入力コモンモード電圧を検知する入力検知回路を更に備え、
前記制御回路は、前記出力コモンモード電圧と前記入力コモンモード電圧との差が所定の値となるように、前記制御信号を生成する、
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の半導体レーザ駆動回路。 - 前記差動回路は、前記半導体レーザに対してAC結合されている、請求項1又は2に記載の半導体レーザ駆動回路。
