Claims (6)
- 前段に酸化触媒を備えて排気管途中に介装された触媒再生型のパティキュレートフィルタと、前記酸化触媒より上流側で排気ガス中に燃料を添加する燃料添加手段とを備え、該燃料添加手段で添加した燃料が前記酸化触媒上で酸化反応した時の反応熱により捕集済みパティキュレートを燃焼させて前記パティキュレートフィルタの強制再生を図り得るようにした排気浄化装置であって、前記パティキュレートフィルタ内のパティキュレートの堆積量を推定する堆積量推定手段と、該堆積量推定手段によりパティキュレートの堆積量が自動再生範囲にあると推定されている条件下でその堆積量の程度に応じて前記燃料添加手段による燃料添加を自動的に実行せしめる制御装置と、エンジンがアイドリング状態にある条件下で前記燃料添加手段による燃料添加を運転者の手動操作により任意に実行せしめる操作手段とを備え、前記堆積量推定手段によりパティキュレートの堆積量が自動再生範囲を超えた手動再生範囲にあると推定されている条件下で且つエンジンがアイドリング状態で所定時間経過しても前記操作手段が手動操作されない時に自動的に前記燃料添加手段による燃料添加を実行せしめるように前記制御装置を構成したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
- エンジンの燃料噴射装置を燃料添加手段として採用し、制御装置により気筒内への燃料噴射を制御して排気ガス中に未燃燃料分を多く残すことで燃料添加を実行させるように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排気浄化装置。
- アイドリング状態でのパティキュレートフィルタの強制再生時に通常のアイドリング時よりエンジンの回転数を上げるべく制御装置により気筒内への燃料噴射を制御してメイン噴射の一回当たりの噴射量を増加させるように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の排気浄化装置。
- エンジンの回転数を検出する回転センサと、エンジンの負荷を検出する負荷センサ,ギヤ位置がニュートラルポジションにあることを検出するニュートラルスイッチ,サイドブレーキが引かれていることを検出するサイドブレーキスイッチ,車速を検出する車速センサのうちの何れか一つ以上との組み合わせから成るアイドリング判定手段を備えたことを特徴とする請求項1、2又は3に記載の排気浄化装置。
- エンジンからの排気流量を適宜に絞り込む排気絞り手段を備え、アイドリング状態でのパティキュレートフィルタの強制再生時に前記排気絞り手段を閉作動せしめるように構成したことを特徴とする請求項1、2、3又は4に記載の排気浄化装置。
- 排気絞り手段が排気ブレーキで構成されていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の排気浄化装置。
