Description
図1は、本発明の参考形態に係るバッテリー・ヒーター・システム100(加熱システム)の構成を示すブロック図である。一般的に、本発明は、例えば車両外部の120V交流電源や、高電圧バッテリー・システム102(蓄電システム)外の補助低電圧バッテリー又は車載のアクセサリー用バッテリーなどの蓄電装置により電力供給される車両用のバッテリー・ヒーター・システム100に関する。バッテリー・システム102は、一つ又は複数のバッテリー・セル103(蓄電装置)を含む。バッテリー・システム102とは別の外部電源をヒーター・システム100の動作に用いることにより、本発明は、バッテリー・システム102を高温に保つことが出来、そして、車両が低温環境に晒されているときにも信頼性の高い温度にバッテリー・システム102を制御することが出来る。
(実施形態)
図3は、本発明の一実施形態に係る、エンジン・ブロック・ヒーター200と組合せられたバッテリー・ヒーター・システム100を示す。極端に低温な地域では、低温状態でエンジンの作動状態を良好に保つために、車両に、エンジン・ブロック・ヒーター200を備えるのが一般的である。本発明のバッテリー・システム100と同様に、エンジン・ブロック・ヒーター200は、交流電源110に接続されるように、構成される。本発明のバッテリー・ヒーター・システム100のモジュラー構成が、エンジン・ブロック・ヒーター200へのバッテリー・ヒーター・システム100の組合せを容易なものとする。

Claims (6)
- 車両外の外部電源である交流電源にコネクタを介して接続可能に構成されたエンジンブロックヒータを有する車両の、該車両内の蓄電装置を加熱するための車両用蓄電装置の加熱システムであって、
上記加熱システムは、上記エンジンブロックヒータが接続される交流電源と同じ交流電源に接続可能とされ、
上記加熱システムと上記交流電源との接続には、上記エンジンブロックヒータと上記交流電源とを接続するためのコネクタが兼用され、
上記蓄電装置を加熱するように配設されたヒーターと、
上記加熱システムと接続された上記交流電源を上記ヒーターに選択的に接続するスイッチと、
上記加熱システムが上記交流電源に接続されているか否かを判定して、上記加熱システムが上記交流電源に接続されていると判定した場合に、上記蓄電装置の温度に対応する信号を受信し、少なくとも該蓄電装置の温度に基いて上記スイッチを制御する制御器と、
を有する、システム。 - 上記ヒーターが少なくとも一つの熱電加熱要素を有する、請求項1のシステム。
- 上記交流電源に接続可能で、上記ヒーターに電力を供給する動作が可能なAC/DCコンバーターを更に有する、請求項1又は2のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 上記制御器が、上記AC/DCコンバーターからのAC/DC出力状態に基いて、上記加熱システムが上記交流電源に接続されているか否かを判定する、請求項3のシステム。
- 上記制御器が、上記蓄電装置の温度状態、及び車両のキーのオン/オフ状態に基いて、上記スイッチを制御する、請求項3又は4のいずれかに記載のシステム。
- 上記AC/DCコンバーター、上記スイッチ及び上記制御器の少なくとも一つが、上記蓄電装置を含む蓄電システムの外側に配置される、請求項3〜5のいずれか1つに記載のシステム。
