Claims (5)
- 頂面の高さが円周方向に変化するピストン(13)と、前記ピストン(13)の中央部に凹設されたキャビティ(25)内の円周方向の複数方向を指向して燃料を噴射するフュエルインジェクタ(23)とを備えた燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジンにおいて、
前記ピストン(13)の頂面の高さが低い方向における前記キャビティ(25)の周壁部(25a)が径方向外側に向かって開口するように傾斜しており、前記ピストン(13)の頂面の高さが低い方向に噴射される燃料がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角(β)よりも、前記ピストン(13)の頂面の高さが高い方向に噴射される燃料がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角(α)を大きく設定したことを特徴とする燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジン。 - 頂面の高さが円周方向に変化するピストン(13)と、前記ピストン(13)の中央部に凹設されたキャビティ(25)内の円周方向の複数位置を指向して燃料を噴射するフュエルインジェクタ(23)とを備えた燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジンにおいて、
前記複数位置のうちの少なくとも一つが前記キャビティ(25)の周壁部(25a)および底壁部(25c)を接続する曲壁部(25b)上に存在し、前記ピストン(13)の頂面の高さが低い方向に噴射される燃料がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角(β)よりも、前記ピストン(13)の頂面の高さが高い方向に噴射される燃料がキャビティ(25)に衝突する衝突角(α)を大きく設定したことを特徴とする燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジン。 - ピストン中心軸(Lp)に対して前記フュエルインジェクタ(23)の複数の燃料噴射方向が成す角度が等しいことを特徴とする、請求項1または請求項2に記載の燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジン。
- 前記複数位置における燃料の衝突角の最小値が90°よりも小さいことを特徴とする、請求項1〜請求項3の何れか1項に記載の燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジン。
- 前記複数位置における燃料の衝突角の最大値が90°よりも大きいことを特徴とする、請求項1〜請求項4の何れか1項に記載の燃料直噴ディーゼルエンジン。
