ここで、前記電解質膜7は、電子(e-)を通さずプロトン(H+)のみを透過するという特性を有するので、電子(e-)は単電池1の外部を回るため、電気エネルギーとして外部に取り出すことができる。

となり、電気エネルギーとして取り出せず、熱エネルギーとなってしまう。また、前記式(1)式,(2)式から分るように、アノード3側ではCO2が生成されて放出され、カソード5側ではH2Oが生成され放出される。

Claims (1)
- 燃料極室、燃料極、電解質膜、酸化剤極及び酸化剤極室の順に積層されて構成される単電池を、隣り合う単電池の燃料極室相互もしくは酸化剤極室相互の少なくとも一方が共有されるように積層するモノポーラ型積層燃料電池の製造方法において、
前記モノポーラ型積層燃料電池は、
複数の前記電解質膜と、
それぞれの前記電解質膜の一方の面に設けられた燃料流路板と、
それぞれの前記電解質膜の他方の面に設けられた酸化剤流路板と、
前記燃料流路板と前記酸化剤流路板とにそれぞれ設けられ、少なくとも一部が可撓性を有する一対の集電体と、を有するモノポーラ型積層燃料電池であって、
前記燃料流路板と前記酸化剤流路板とを前記集電体により電気的に接続し、
前記燃料流路板と前記酸化剤流路板とが交互に積層されるように、前記集電体の可撓性を有する部分を折り返すことを特徴とするモノポーラ型積層燃料電池の製造方法。
