上記先願の錠前は、箱形のケース部材内に多数の部材を組み込むようにしていたので、組立に手数を要してコスト高になる製作上の問題があり、かつ、形状が大同小異で外観がほぼ一定化する欠点があった。

このようなことから本発明が解決しようとする課題は、主として従来の箱錠の欠点であるケース部材を改良して箱錠形の自転車用錠を組み立て易くし、外観形状を一新できるようにすることにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記の課題を解決する手段として本発明は、前面に閂杆の挿通孔を有する閂杆保持片を起立させ、裏面に添わせた他方の取付け金具と共にホークに固定される取付け金具と、前後面と上面を開放し、両側壁の上縁に内側に折り曲げたガイド凸条を具えて、上記取付け金具内に嵌合するケース部材と、前端に、上記取付け金具と共通の止めねじ孔を具えたばね受部を起立させ、底面に施錠カム溝を設けて、上記ケース部材内に嵌合する中板と、両側面に具えたガイド溝を上記ケース部材のガイド凸条に嵌合させるとともに、前記中板のばね受部との間にコイル形の復元ばねを介在させて、ケース部材に対して摺動自在に備えた閂杆と、端面を開口して中空に形成された上記閂杆の後端部内に装着された施錠機構と、閂杆の後端部内に回転自在に装着され、施錠機構の内端部に突出する角軸を嵌合し、軸線に直交させて装着したガイドピンを前記中板の施錠カム溝と係合させて上記閂杆の摺動行程を規制する回転レバーとを備えてなる自転車用錠を提供するものである。

上記のように構成した本発明錠は、閂杆のほぼ半分の高さが上面を開放したケース部材の上に露出して施錠、開錠に際して摺動するので、従来のこの種の錠前にない外観を呈し、使用者の注目をひく新しい形状を具えた自転車用錠を得ることができる。
