Description
アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金製の集電体を有する負極と、
前記正極及び前記負極を収容し、外面に正極端子及び負極端子を有する外装容器と、
前記正極端子と前記正極とを電気的に接続する正極リードタブと、
前記負極端子と前記負極とを電気的に接続する負極リードタブとを具備する非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記負極リードタブの少なくとも負極端子に接続される側の一部が、前記負極端子に接合される厚さ0.02mm以上0.3mm以下のニッケルあるいはニッケル基合金製の第1の層と、前記第1の層に積層された厚さ0.02mm以上0.3mm以下のアルミニウムあるいはアルミニウム合金製の第2の層とを有することを特徴とするものである。
この正極は、正極集電体と、この正極集電体の片面もしくは両面に形成された正極層とを含む。
負極は、負極集電体と、この負極集電体の片面もしくは両面に形成される負極層とを含む。
前記電解液は非水溶媒に電解質を溶解した組成を有する。
以下に例を挙げ、本発明をさらに詳しく説明するが、発明の主旨を超えない限り本発明は以下に掲載される実施例に限定されるものでない。
<負極の作製>
平均粒子径が0.5μmのチタン酸リチウム(Li4Ti5O12)粉末と、平均粒子径0.4μmの炭素粉末と、結着剤としてPVdFとを重量比で90:7:3となるように配合してn−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に分散してスラリーを調製した。得られたスラリーを厚さ15μmのアルミニウム箔(純度99.99%)の両面のうちリードタブ溶接部を除いた箇所に片面の単位面積あたりの塗布量が160g/m2となるように塗布し、乾燥後、プレス工程を経て電極密度が2.2g/cm3の負極7を作製した。
正極活物質にリチウムコバルト酸化物(LiCoO2)を用い、これに導電材として正極全体に対して5重量%の黒鉛粉末、結着剤として正極全体に対して4重量%のPVdFをそれぞれ配合してn−メチル−2−ピロリドン(NMP)溶媒に分散してスラリーを調製した後、単位面積あたりの充電容量比が正極容量/負極容量=1.03となるように厚さ15μmのアルミニウム箔(純度99.99%)の両面に塗布し、乾燥、プレス工程を経て電極密度3.3g/cm3の正極6を作製した。得られた正極6を所定の寸法に裁断し、集電体のスラリー未塗布部分に幅5mm、厚さ0.1mmのアルミニウム製の正極リードタブ19を超音波溶接により溶接した。
エチレンカーボネート(EC)とメチルエチルカーボネート(MEC)の混合溶媒(体積比EC:MEC=1:2)にリチウム塩としてLiPF6を1mol/L溶解させることにより非水電解液(液状非水電解質)を調製した。
負極リードタブの第1の層の厚さ(T1)、第2の層の厚さ(T2)、厚さ比(T1:T2)、負極スラリー塗布量(g/m2)、チタン酸リチウムの平均粒径(μm)を下記表1に示すように設定すること以外は、前述した実施例1で説明したのと同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
アルミニウムリボンにAl/Niクラッド材を接合したものを負極リードタブとして用いること以外は、前述した実施例1で説明したのと同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
負極リードタブとして幅4mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケルリボンを用いること以外は、実施例1と同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
負極リードタブとして幅4mm、厚さ0.1mmのニッケルリボンを用い、負極活物質であるチタン酸リチウムの平均粒子径を1.5μmとし、負極スラリー塗布量を210g/m2としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
負極リードタブとして幅4mm、厚さ0.1mmのアルミニウムリボンを用いること以外は、実施例1と同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
負極リードタブとして幅4mm、厚さ0.1mmのアルミニウムリボンを用い、負極活物質であるチタン酸リチウムの平均粒子径を1.5μmとし、負極スラリー塗布量を210g/m2としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
負極リードタブの第1の層の厚さ(T1)、第2の層の厚さ(T2)、厚さ比(T1:T2)を下記表1に示すように設定すること以外は、前述した実施例1で説明したのと同様な構成の角型非水電解質電池を作製した。
Claims (4)
- 正極と、
アルミニウムまたはアルミニウム合金製の集電体を有する負極と、
前記正極及び前記負極を収容し、外面に正極端子及び負極端子を有する外装容器と、
前記正極端子と前記正極とを電気的に接続する正極リードタブと、
前記負極端子と前記負極とを電気的に接続する負極リードタブとを具備する非水電解質二次電池であって、
前記負極リードタブの少なくとも負極端子に接続される側の一部が、前記負極端子に接合される厚さ0.02mm以上0.3mm以下のニッケルあるいはニッケル基合金製の第1の層と、前記第1の層に積層された厚さ0.02mm以上0.3mm以下のアルミニウムあるいはアルミニウム合金製の第2の層とを有することを特徴とする非水電解質二次電池。 - 前記正極リードタブは、アルミニウムもしくはアルミニウム合金から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記負極リードタブの少なくとも負極端子に接続される側の一部は、前記第1の層及び前記第2の層を含むクラッド材から形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載の非水電解質二次電池。
- 前記負極は、チタン酸リチウムを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜3いずれか1項記載の非水電解質二次電池。
