Description
このような中で、近年、細孔構造を有し、高い吸着性を示す活性炭が注目されており、活性炭に触媒を担持させて一酸化炭素等のガスの吸着材として使用する方法等が報告されている(特許文献1参照)。
図4〜図7からわかるように、本発明の吸着材を用いた場合は、窒素中の化学物質の量はいずれも1時間以内に5分の1以下に低減し、24時間後にはほとんど消失している。このように、本発明の吸着材は高い化学物質の吸着能を有し、特に、図5から、アンモニアの吸着能において他の吸着材よりも優れていることがわかる。
更には、図8に示すように吸着材をキューブ状にすれば、室内装飾や建築用資材として、容易に使用することが可能である。なお、このキューブの大きさは任意に設定することができるが、一例としては、キューブの各辺の長さを3.5cm、ハニカムの各辺の長さを1mm、ハニカムの隔壁の厚さを0.3mmとしたものを挙げることができる。
Claims (2)
- 竹を650〜900℃で焼成して炭化した後、平均粒子径が5〜10μmになるように粉砕した竹炭微粉末75〜90重量%と、粘土状無機物質5〜15重量%と、バインダー樹脂5〜10重量%とを触媒を担持させずに混合し、これを200cell/inch 2 (31cell/cm 2 )のセル密度を有するハニカム構造体に押し出し成形した、トルエン、アンモニア、ホルムアルデヒド、及び酢酸を吸着可能な吸着材であって、前記粘土状無機物質が、セピオライト、カオリン、モンモリロナイト、緑泥石、カオリナイト、セリサイトのいずれか又はこれらの二以上の組み合わせであることを特徴とする室内置き用の吸着材。
- 上記バインダー樹脂が、セルロース、多糖類系樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、フラン樹脂、フェノールフラン樹脂、フェノール樹脂のいずれか又はこれらの二以上の組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の吸着材。
