Description
Claims (8)
- 固定装置であって、
ねじ山を形成する丸い突出部を有するねじを備え、前記丸い突出部を有するねじがシャフトと前記シャフトの基端部に結合した頭部とを有し、ねじ山が前記シャフトの外面上に形成されており、前記ねじ山が、ねじ山の頂部にて大形直径を画定し前記ねじ山の谷部にて小形直径を画定しており、前記シャフトが丸い突出部を画定しており、前記大形および小形直径の各々が丸い突出部にて局所最大に達し前記丸い突出部から離れた場所にて減少しており、さらに、
前記ねじの硬度以上の硬度を有し、非先細りパイロット穴を内部に画定している部材をさらに備え、このパイロット穴が、前記丸い突出部の前記大形直径と前記小形直径の中間にあたる直径を有する中心部分と、前記中心部分から放射状に延びたカットアウト部とを備えており、前記パイロット穴が前記パイロット穴の前記カットアウト部と前記中心部分の間の連結点にて、前記ねじのシャフトの軸とほぼ平行な縦長縁を画定しており、これにより、前記パイロット穴内で前記ねじを回転させると、前記丸い突出部上の前記ねじが縦長縁から開始する前記部材を、前記パイロット穴内にねじ山を形成するように塑性変形させる固定装置。 - パイロット穴の中心部分が円形である、請求項1に記載の固定装置。
- パイロット穴が、ねじ山のピッチを越える深度を有する、請求項1に記載の固定装置。
- パイロット穴が、ねじ山のピッチの約2倍を越える深度を有する、請求項1に記載の固定装置。
- シャフトがシャフトの末端部に先細りしたリードイン部分を有する、請求項1に記載の固定装置。
- カットアウト部が実質的に円形アーク形状の外周部分を有する、請求項1に記載の固定装置。
- シャフトが前記シャフトの中心縦軸周囲の円周上で離間した複数Nの丸い突出部を画定しており、前記大形直径と前記小形直径の各々が前記丸い突出部の各々にて局所的最大値に達し、前記丸い突出部間にて減少しており、さらに、
パイロット穴が前記中心部分から放射状に延びている、複数Nの円周上で離間したカットアウト部を備えており、前記パイロット穴が前記パイロット穴の前記カットアウト部と前記中心部分の間の連結点にて、ねじシャフトの軸とほぼ平行な複数の縦長縁を画定しており、これにより、前記パイロット穴内で前記ねじを回転させると、前記丸い突出部上の前記ねじ山が、前記縦長縁にて開始する前記部材を塑性変形させ、前記パイロット穴内にねじ山を形成させる、請求項1に記載の固定装置。 - ねじが3つの丸い突出部を有し、パイロット穴が3つのカットアウト部を有し、その結果、ねじ山が開始するパイロット穴の縦長縁が3つ存在する、請求項7に記載の固定装置。
