Description
(a)岩石を液中に沈めておく
(b)岩石と対面する面が開放した液体保持容器を岩石面上に貼着し、この容器内に液体を供給しこの液体中を通ってレーザビームを照射位置に照射する
(c)レーザ照射位置に向って液体噴射ノズル等を設け、液体を供給する
(d)レーザ伝送手段の先端に照射方向に開口したジャケット等を取付け、このジャケットに液体を連続的に供給する
などの手段を採ればよい。

黒雲母 4wt%
化学組成:
SiO2 77.65wt%
TiO2 0.19wt%
Al2O3 12.55wt%
Fe2O3 0.46wt%
FeO 0.98wt%
MnO 0.08wt%
MgO 0.18wt%
CaO 1.44wt%
使用したレーザは次の通りである。
レーザ波長: 10.6μm
レーザスポット径: 10mmφ
レーザ出力: 5kW
液体: 水、ベントナイト溶液4重量%(不透明)の2種類
レーザ照射方向:対象物の上面
図5に模式的に示す装置を用いて、レーザを2分照射した。照射後、粉砕したドロスの微粉が水中又はベントナイト溶液中に分散したことが認められた。照射後、花崗岩に直径約5mm、最大深さ約25mmの孔が穿孔された。さらに、この孔の周囲及び中心部に同様の孔を穿孔し、結局、直径約15mm、最大深さ約50mmの孔が穿孔されたことを確認した。

Claims (4)
- レーザ照射により溶融ドロスを析出する岩石に穿孔を行うに当り、レーザ照射位置に液体を介在させ、該液体への吸収率が高い波長1.2μm以上のレーザを照射し、該レーザ照射により、岩石の表面に溶融ドロスを生成させると共に前記液体中に急速進行する微細な泡を発生させ、生成した溶融ドロスを前記泡の爆発作用により粉砕・除去して岩石を加工することを特徴とするレーザを用いた岩石の加工方法。
- 前記レーザは、半導体レーザ、CO2レーザ、COレーザ、Er−YAGレーザ及びHo−YAGレーザからなる群から選ばれた何れかのレーザであることを特徴とする請求項1記載のレーザを用いた岩石の加工方法。
- レーザ照射により溶融ドロスを析出する岩石に穿孔を行う装置であって、レーザ照射位置に液体を存在させる液体供給手段と、該液体中を通って岩石に照射され岩石の表面に溶融ドロスを生成させると共に該溶融ドロスを粉砕除去する微細な泡を前記液体中に発生させる波長1.2μm以上のレーザ照射装置と、から成ることを特徴とするレーザを用いた岩石の加工装置。
- 前記レーザ照射装置はレーザ伝送媒体として弗化ガラスファイバ又はカルコゲン化物ガラスファイバを用いることを特徴とする請求項3記載のレーザを用いた岩石の加工装置。
