Abstract
Description
気管支拡張症は、肺気道が拡大、弛緩及び/又損傷している状態である。損傷した部位には粘液が蓄積し、閉塞及び/又は感染が発生する。感染を繰り返すことにより、気道の損傷が続き、粘液がさらに蓄積される。気管支拡張症は、呼吸不全、無気肺、心臓麻痺等の健康障害を誘発する可能性がある。
さらに別の態様において、本開示は医療器具に関する。本医療器具は、第1状態及び第2状態との間を相互に移動可能である拡張式エネルギー送達アレイを備える。拡張式エネルギー送達アレイは、第1基端部分と、第1先端部分と、第1基端部分及び第1先端部分の間を延びる1つ又は複数の第1エネルギー伝達要素とを有する第1アセンブリと、第2基端部分と、第2先端部分と、第2基端部分及び第2先端部分の間を延びる1つ又は複数の第2エネルギー伝達要素とを有する第2アセンブリと、を有する。第2基端部分は第1基端部分の基端側に位置し、第2先端部分は第1先端部分の先端側に位置する。

第1状態と第2状態との間を相互に移動可能である拡張式電極アセンブリであって、
第1の部分的筒状部材に形成された長手方向に延びる第1の複数の脚部と、
第2の部分的筒状部材に形成された長手方向に延びる第2の複数の脚部と、
前記第1の部分的筒状部材の第1端部と前記第2の部分的筒状部材の第1端部とによって形成された第1端部分と、
前記第1の部分的筒状部材の第2端部と前記第2の部分的筒状部材の第2端部とによって形成された第2端部分と、を有している拡張式電極アセンブリを備えており、
前記第2の部分的筒状部材の一部が前記第1の部分的筒状部材の一部に受容されるように構成されている医療器具。 - 前記第1の部分的筒状部材の脚部が前記第2の部分的筒状部材の脚部と周方向において交互に配置されている、請求項1に記載の医療器具。
